Another infectious song from the house of Kaiser. Or whatever their oh-so-Britpop marketing campaign reckons. Having appeared on Ant and Dec's TV show and totally blown away what last vestiges of cool they had (not necessarily a bad thing), the Chiefs can now set about taking over the world without any of those problematic things like critical opinion and snobbery getting in the way.

Rather like Franz before them (and possibly much more so), the Leeds quintet are moving beyond the point where the opinion of little organs (fnar) like us really are irrelevant. So what's the point of this review? To be honest, there isn't one. You've heard the song, you either dance to it and adore it's cheeky keyboard breakdown bit, or it's enough to send you into tears or anti-pork pie hat hatred. All that remains is for DiS to mark the scores on the doors...

Just as long as they don't re-release 'I Predict A Riot' after this...

Really catchy but really stupid pop song.
If only all their songs were this good !

I reviewed this for my uni paper, and gave it a favourable review. The only thing that annoys me is that this is a foregone conclusion to be massively overplayed everywhere, which will cause me to end up hating it because I'll just get bored of it.

Kaiser chiefs suck

I tottaly agree.
the kaiser chiefs SUCK and I don't understand why everyone loves them so fucking much.

first they wer parva.they want to sound like nirvana.please...
And then the next day: BANG here come the kaisers, that just shows you they dont realy have any passion for music whatso ever.

Hopefully this is just one big blow for them and then they can go back to thier little nigthclub and dream about what the could be if thier were beter.
thier a egotistick gay butfucking band.
they might be 'okay' live but thats about all. ricky Wilson (the singer) can't sing a fucking good note if it came out of his ass.

please people, don't bee fooled.

This song makes me happy. Therefore i love it. And for all the haters, its pop music, deal with it! The OOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHH's are great fun to song along with, hence make it into every song!

I fucking LOVE this tune.

The line "and my parents love me, and my girlfriend(or in my case,boyfriend)loves me" simple but effective.

'Caroline, yes' is a corker of a tune too.

I agree with Sujhaile about the overplayedness of this song. I also reviewed it for my uni paper, and whilst i resisted slagging it off, i also didn't say it was good either. Oh, and as for the "ohhhhhhhh" bits, come on its very pop-punk isn't it with the "whoooaahoohhhaooaohahahahahahahahhhhh" or whatever. Kaiser Chiefs are ok in small doses but are now seeming a bit force fed down our throats.

yeah, i agree. they're good fun live, and for about the first hundred listens they're good fun on record to. but the only real belter is 'i predict a riot'. and i don't think that they'll be around for too long, with the level of saturation that we're enduring - there's not enough substance. i read a review (but can't remember where) that made sense - it said that they might predict a riot, but they're never going to cause one.

lol - 'top shop punk princess'... thats getting used. Hate this song as I hated the others, sorry peeps. And the 'WWOOOOOOOOOOOOOO' bits in all their songs does annoy, seems like they thought "what should we do now? Oh i know lets all yell - it seemed to work on I Predict a Riot"......(apologes if it wasn't on riot as all song tend to meld together)
