this is a great single.. seemingly a return to form after the disappointing slow album.. and a preview for ya. i downloaded the album from an argentinian torrent site.. and its ace, I shall buy it. who says file sharing doesnt work!!

the vid is cool, not realyl a big fan of beck but this song is catchy and quite good.

I loved 'Sea Change'..which is strange 'cause I usually really don't get Beck.

Downloaded the whole thing a couple weeks ago...and for this Canuck, it was a return to the Odelayan, vulturistic, mellowy goldy kinda kick - a considerable jump in both sound and style from the previously personal, sluggish Sea Change. As one previous writer mentioned..."Hell Yes", both tune and video, are examples of just what a freaky genius this dude really is. He has yet to lend himself to any one style of music long enough to be pigeonholed as a rock, alternative, folk, country, rap, punk or techno artist. But he IS a sound sculpter extraordinaire, as a listen to both "Black Tambourine" and "Scarecrow" will attest. Overall, when you throw in the bluesier, mellower sounds of "Emergency Exit", or the haunting "Rental Girl" the result is a fresh, new, but experienced Beck back at the helm of his own personal cacaphonous ochestra. Good Job!

If this is the track i'm thinking of and the one that's been compared to sounding like Kasabian then it's pretty good.

I saw Beck in 1997 when the fantastic Brainiac supported him.
