Starting life as a 3-song bedroom PC demo made by singer Ben, The Lodger took band form when the then-newly-formed Dance To The Radio label heard the demos and offered to release a single. After a few line-up changes Kate and Joe came on board to complete the line-up, and The Lodger as we know them were born.

Since then the band have featured on Dance to the Radio and Angular Recordings compilations, have toured with The Research and signed to Angular for the released of their third single. Debut album Grown-Ups is due for release through Angular in June 2007.
