Richard Thompson

Member of Fairport Convention, the British band who developed the folk-rock sound in the late Sixties and pioneered the folk revival. Thompson is revered as a guitarist, with a unique style of intricate rock soloing using an electric guitar and clean sound. He is also acclaimed as a songwriter and his songs are widely performed by other folk acts, such as Kate Rusby (Withered And Died) and June Tabor (Waltzing For Dreamers).
