The Lollies
The Lollies started as a drunken joke at a post-New Year¹s Eve party in London, when Canadian bassist/singer Jane Mountain and New York guitarist/singer Kate St.Claire discovered a shared love of 60s girls in the garage compilations. Their first single, written that night and recorded on a 4-track in their living room, was released by UK indie label ORG Records a few weeks later. With gigs looming, the girls recruited another Canadian, Matthew Lazowski as drummer and token male.
Since then they¹ve toured North America once and the UK twice (once as part of the Ladyfest 2001 tour), put out a self-financed EP, Bang! Bang! Bang! Lookout! Lookout! Lookout!, a raspberry coloured 7", Channel Heaven, on Evil World, and have had tracks featured on several compilations.
