The Academy Is... hail from Chicago, Illinois where the music scene is as unforgiving as it is frantic. After the split of Mike Carden and William Becket's seperate bands, they decided to form The Academy Is... over a mutual love of popular music. Fronting a pop-punk sound, and with a bunch of rabid fans behind them, The Academy Is look set to dominate the American radio in the near future.
