The Original Nu-Metal band, Machine Head formed out of the ashes of derivative thrashers Vio-lence , when guitarist Robb Flynn decided to form a new band. The debut "Burn My Eyes" is a classic - a cross between thrash-metal and nu-metal, but despite tours with Slayer and loads more they've never compromised their heaviness to hit it big. Numerous personnel changes aside, with the departure of Logan Malder after the making of the crushingly heavy follow up "...the more things change..." , they remain one of the primary Metal bands of the day - and one of the best.
