Helmet - Band shot

Helmet

Signed to label: Warcon

Formed in 1989, Helmet quickly gained a massive following and critical acclaim by stepping away from the then-prominent thrash metal sound, and pioneering an alt-hardcore-metal hybrid which combined staccato riffs, jazz-like time changes and drop-D tuned guitars. Were signed to Interscope for a cool million in 1992 and garnered international stardom, but split in 1999 after 9 years and 4 albums. Reformed in 2004 with a different line-up. Split with Interscope in 2005.

Recently signed to NY Hardcore label, Warcon.
