Remus are very, very good and have a way with hooks and melodies that sets them apart from other female fronted bands. At their best they’re Pink Floyd playing with the fiery spirit of Joy Division, fronted by Janis Joplin, on fire. At their worst they’re still fucking amazing. It’s often been said that they really are wasted playing in a small environment. Remus should be playing arenas. Remus should be playing mountain-tops. Remus should be in a big fuck off studio with Brian Eno at the controls. These kids write big, big songs. Chorus’ that scrape the sky and bask in the beauty of glitter rainstorms. Often clad in black, they are the beautiful people. They are the kids who tie you to the bed, shag you senseless and then run off with your Beach Boys records. These kids will be stars.
