Now solo frontman for seminal mid-nineties San Francisco band American Music Club. Throughout his career, Eitzel has received almost universal critical acclaim for his painfully honest songwriting, being voted Song Writer Of The Year for 1991 in Rolling Stone. His brutal lyrics about real life have made him too difficult for the mainstream, in the opinion of some, but a solid and devoted fan base of those who have discovered him for themselves, keeps Mark Eitzel as an icon of what music can accomplish within the soul.
