Calvin are an Edinburgh band who have been together for around two years. The lineup has remained constant during that time, and consists of:

Neil Colquhoun - Vocals/Guitar/Keyboard
Fraser Macdermid – Guitar/Vocals
Brian Clark – Bass/Vocals
Ali Murray – Drums

Calvin’s sound has been described variously as ‘alt-pop’ ‘melodic, strong songs’ and ‘psychedelic, with a touch of country’. In terms of a specific genre, however, they refuse to be pinned down and are often praised for the strength and variety of their songs.

Calvin play in Edinburgh mostly, but have also been gigging throughout Scotland and the North of England. A debut EP, Last One to Drop, was released last year and sold out. Calvin’s debut album, as yet untitled, will be released in early 2002.
