Crashland

Signed to label: EMI Records

Singer Alex Troup and drummer Marc Childs met at school in Monmouth when they were 14. Both were metal fans (AC/DC, Iron Maiden etc) when they started playing together and it didn't take them long to work out that this is what they wanted to do.

In October 1996, they put an add in Melody Maker which was shortly followed by the addition of bassist, Martin Maddaford to the line-up; and they decided to call themselves Crashland.

In 1997, a demo was recorded for EMI, which after circulating around London for a while, fell into the hands of Independiente who signed the band on June 4th 1998. Since then Crashland have avidly set about their mission; "to offer a wake-up call you wont be able to ignore".

Crashland has split and Alex Troup can now be found in...Troup.
