they didn't actually play 20 did they? whiskas said they were about to, but they just stuck to the setlist and played 17 or something. or so i remember...
youthmovies were best though; the new songs are lovely, whilst '...staggered through the door...' and 'spooks the horse' were, predictably, awesome. people who id brought and people i bumped into who i knew who hadnt heard them before were very impressed too, so thats a good thing...
it is a very good song. i liked dancing lots and being pointed at. being the overenthusiastic person at gigs is FUN.
i just feel really sorry for bands that take ymss on tour because theyre so hard to follow... they really should actually play a headline show in sheffield sometime...
my overriding memory is "the nastiest person i have ever met at a gig ever" that means you at the front with the violent elbows and bad manners blue t shirt girl
and really violently attacking people with her elbows if they accidentally pushed into them. Like *really* violently attacking them. In a tiny venue where it's obviously going to be a bit pushy for F,R.
and forward, russia seem to get better every time i see them without doubt, glad i have more tickets for this tour and they're thoroughly nice people too
manchester on
monday :-)
I am going
it's going to be hot
no.
im going tomorrow though. ymss/FR galore!!!
sheffield tomorrow similar
then bristol 21st
Me
yes i am and i am also off to there next one next thursday
can anyone
review them from this tour for us, me*
or give brief details of the gig/support
tongiht
was a good set, but spoilt by technichal difficulties (overheated bass amp). all the hits, one new song (20). nine played very fast, fantstic.
playmates supporting, they are poor.
what did 20
sound like..
it was good
no progression, but they have only just released their first album...
by the way, next "secret" show is at jospeh's well.
wait a minute
they didn't actually play 20 did they? whiskas said they were about to, but they just stuck to the setlist and played 17 or something. or so i remember...
whiskas announced "20"
before playing fifteen part 2 didn't he?
in other news, that gig was so hot it was slightly silly.
they were good
last night in sheffield.
youthmovies were best though; the new songs are lovely, whilst '...staggered through the door...' and 'spooks the horse' were, predictably, awesome. people who id brought and people i bumped into who i knew who hadnt heard them before were very impressed too, so thats a good thing...
however, i must also criticise
because they were lame and didnt come to the corporation afterwards haha.
You're spot on..
..Youthmovies were absolutely awesome.
I love iF,R!, but there was no way they couldve topped Youthmovies. I couldnt get over the sheer wall of sound, it was just incredible.
The Naughtiest Girl Is A Monitor was one of my faves.
yeah
it is a very good song. i liked dancing lots and being pointed at. being the overenthusiastic person at gigs is FUN.
i just feel really sorry for bands that take ymss on tour because theyre so hard to follow... they really should actually play a headline show in sheffield sometime...
i was there
my overriding memory is "the nastiest person i have ever met at a gig ever" that means you at the front with the violent elbows and bad manners blue t shirt girl
what was nasty about her?
um, not passing water around which the band were giving out
until people started to get pissed off.
and really violently attacking people with her elbows if they accidentally pushed into them. Like *really* violently attacking them. In a tiny venue where it's obviously going to be a bit pushy for F,R.
you should have elbowed her in the face
im actually only half kidding.
she was terrifying
i told her to calm down, and she did SLIGHTLY. mm otherwise it was ace though, i've never been so sweaty in ym life
i thought i spotted you..
i'm frustratingly bad at actually talking to people.
i was right at the front
And then outside wringing my t shirt out aftwards. EW
well i was there at the plug
and forward, russia seem to get better every time i see them without doubt, glad i have more tickets for this tour and they're thoroughly nice people too
