Re: Reading: + leeds/tix
i can see that this year i'll be running in between stages even more frantically than last year. i probably should start training hehe :)
yay!

Re: Reading: + leeds/tix
looks feckin awful I reckon.
Only Trail of Dead, Breeders and Aphex Twin that I'm slightly interested in. Is it just me that thinks the line up was so much better last year?-
Re: Reading: + leeds/tix
This years Reading fest doesn't interest me in the slightest, same old tired acts that you can see at anytime during the year. I'm off to Amsterdam instead for that weekend.-
Unkle
reading looks pretty fucking good to me. does anyone have a clue how Unkle are gonna be playing? is it just a DJ Shadow set?
and why do messages keep on DiSapearing?-
Reading: Dogdamn it looks great!
i want to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SikTh are now playing as well
damn being in America!! -
Re: Reading: + leeds/tix
I dunno. There's a lot of bands I'd like to see, even if I'm not particularly a fan of their music, just out of interest. I just wish Sigur Ros were playing!

Re: Unkle
From what I can gather the UNKLE set will be James Lavelle doing a DJ set with loads of funky ambient lighting and stuff, not sure if Shadow will be there (let's hope to God he is). I reckon at V they'll bring on a couple of the guest vocalists, because Ian Brown and Badly Drawn Boy are on the lineup... not sure about Carling though, it could happen.-
BDB and UNKLE
Have they collaborated in the past then?-
Reading: Dogdamn it looks great!
mmmm yeah!
looking good - thank god my ticket's arrived :p -
Re: Reading: + leeds/tix
I'm on the whole pleased with the bill, but i just wish there was more variety, last year Cat Power and hefner played the carling stage, some great established groups with only a small following, but this year there is more empthasis on new bands, okay, but they won't be as good a spectacle - and its a shame they havent picked up on some of the really exciting groups coming through like:
Appleseed Cast, Oxes, Pedro the Lion, Desaparecidos, FourTet etc.
or had some cult atrits like Lambchop, Willard Grant conspiracy or some singer-songwriter types.
On the whole thoigh, it should be ace! -
Re: BDB and UNKLE
Yeah can't remember the track title, but BDB sang on it, on the Pysience Fiction album-
Re: Unkle & Shadow
Doubt Shadow will perform with UNKLE, Lavelle got a bit pissed that Shadow got most of the credit for the album when it was mainly his work. All the recent sets have just been Lavelle and a couple of other guys sometimes throwing stuff in -
Re: BDB and UNKLE
Ah, yes - track 7 - 'Nursery Rhyme'. Even though I love 'Psyence Fiction' to pieces, for some reason I'd never realised it was him (until now). I guess at the time of release (when I got it), I'd never heard of BDB or D. Gough (as he's creditted). Cheers.
