The new BRMC tracks I've heard are pretty good. It's a bit Merseybeat.

It's nothing like Merseybeat, it's country mixed with trad gospel tunes, folkish tinge but I don't hear any classic soul at all. It is a bit Dylan but not much.

I quite like it because I was never fond of BRMC but this album is alot more controlled, thoughtful, the songwriting is shaping up very well. The feedback/reverb has been cut down immensely. Was Jago on most of this album? There's no spread your love or anything big and swerving as that but it does still sound like them, just going in a different direction.

I need to listen more than once to get more out of it.
