special things you've seen on TV recently...

Firstly, there was an amazing interview with an Australian guy on GMTV this morning, aroung 6ish. He'd faked his own death in 1995, was declared dead after five years but eventually got caught and sent down. He was rum, think he was called Harry Gordon. They were speaking to him about this canoeist and his mrs getting sent down, and were obviously expecting him to say how much he regretted his actions, but he didn't say that at all. They asked him about the stress he must've been under and he just laughed and in a broad Aussie accent said something like "Stress?, Are you pulling my leg, i loved it". They looked puzzled and asked him how his wife took the news when he phoned her six months later to say he wasn't dead, "She wasn't an happy bunny, beleive me, but she'd moved another geezer in. Can you believe that, i payed for her facelift, bought her some new tits, i'm gone for six months and she's playing the field". They asked him if he didn't feel guilty about being married to two women at once and he was all "Nah, blokes do worse things to their wives than marry someone else behind their backs". It was amazing. It might not sound it here, but it was special.

Also, on one of them crap programmes where they look around people's houses for antiques they're talking to a guy:
"So, what do you need to raise £1000 for?"
"Well, there's quite a healthy independent magic scene in America"

Brilliant. You?

  • some chavs

stealing the lead off the roof of the church where i went to xmas mass as a child. Then the police came, barked for a bit then the chavs shat themselves.

Reading that back it sounds shit but it was special to me.

    • I saw that

was quite funny when they were hiding on that building presumably hoping the police helicopter would just go away.

  • I saw this

I assumed that it was a Barry Humphries spoof.
