Drowned in Sound

Ok, Strange one.

Due to unforseen circumstances there is a possibility that i may be forced to sell my two tix for Monday's Tom Waits show in Edinburgh which i am absolutely gutted about.

I will know for certain in about 2-4 hours time, but i simply want to know right now who would be interested in buying them.

If you send me a note, i guarantee as soon as i know more about my situation (not very long to wait) the person who PMs me first will get the tickets.

They are face value, minus the booking fee and you would be sitting in the orchestra pit! £200 for both (they cost me something like £215 with fees).

Sorry this is so vague, but do send me a note and i'll be in touch straight away.

Yours, guttedly.

Paul M

      .

      • How

precisely does the purchaser go about using the tickets, given that they will have you and and your guests name already printed on it, are required to provide photo id that matches the tickets and potentially the bank/credit card they were initially bought with before they can get anywhere near the show....?

        • I don't think so..

i think thats only if you were to pick the tickets up on the night.

They said all that about the radiohead tickets too, but lots of my friends bought spares and just gave the tickets to the people, and got straight in.

          Should be fine.

          • alas not

the tickets do have names, and you need photo id and the card you bought them with.

unless, there's someone with the same surname who you want to lent your card...

it's a terrible system really. if places are going to start having this level of security around who can get it, they should really start taking returns.

            • right

well, ive bought lots of tickets that have said thats the policy, but never been checked yet...

I have a buyer now, and they know the score.

It really is a terrible system. Practically anything you can buy you can return, so why not concert tickets? Surely they could have a system like airlines, i.e. you lose some of the price you paid, but the tickets can be released.

Its not like i can just sell plane tickets on ebay, i still have to return them etc...
