So what?

Its a genre of music which is almost identical to how it sounded when it started about 30 years ago.

^

this. but good old wrighty only listens to oasis. and they're WELL progressive.

prick.

agreed

hence the "I hate about 95% of rap" bit

KRS-ONE

...

no way...

rap has definitely moved on, unfortunately most of it has taken a backwards step in the last 10 years.

hehe

oh wrightylew don't you only listen to music thats about 20 years old anyway?

Of course

It's obvs Tupac

^

:D

nope

why listen to crap rap like "kanye" rapping about taking roses to his ma in the hospital, thats not rap.. rap = violence, stupidity, misogyny, beef

whos the best at that?

i rest my briefcase

You my friend

Are straight up ignorant.

rap = beef

Lesson learned people.

I hate this fucking generalisation of hip hop

I'm sorry but rappers can and do rap about whatever the hell they like, just like any other songwriter can write about any old boots.

i like 95% of rap

and 50 cent is the worst rapper ever.

Y

the way fiddy comes up with new innovations

is truly inspiring. being at the club with a bottle of bub gave me chills the first time i heard it. never before had someone so eloquently given being at *the* club such precision.

the best rapper ever

is PROBABLY rakim. probably. maybe big l. but the best rappers dont necessarily make the best records, so, in record terms, its either vickor vaughn or whatever he wants to be known as, nas, when he could be bothered or either one of outkast. certainly not 50 cent.

^

I got with Rakim too, even though I haven't heard anything since Guess Who's Back.

Busta had an incredible flow when he started but pissed it all away.

I Get Money

is a 10/10 song

good troll

tricked most people, 8/10

So, Slipknot are your favourite band.....

and 50 Cent is your favourite rapper?

If only they'd been around at the time of the Judgment Night soundtrack, imagine the possibilities!

I like 50 Cent...

...his last album was a bit shit though asides from 'I get Money' and 'Ayo Technology'.

P.S. I also wish people who put so much effort into seeking out obscure noise records would put as much effort into dipping below the surface with (non-backpacker) hip-hop - there are actually other rappers out there other Jay-Z, Nas, 50 Cent and Kanye West.

For example, people only investigated Lil Wayne after he was Pitchfork approved but they don't dig deeper to see that there were equally good rappers in Hot Boys whose albums are also worth investigating (Juvenile, B.G. etc).

EXCELLENT TROLL WOULD READ AGAIN

AAA+++++++++++++

heheh

nope...

but you can have him as yours if you like.

nothing worse than some smug ignorant hip hop hater

like or hate hip hop, in the past 30 years it has constantly evolved and changed, for better and worse. while in modern mainstream rock music 90% of the bands are just some lame retro act homaging the beach boys, led zeppelin, the velvet underground, bob dylan etc. of course theres some bands than try and do some new things but they're too few and far between.

and oh yeah nas is probably the best. untitled is amazing lyrically.

not been fire

since how to rob but i still fuck with most of dudes singles

also alaxander on the money

jammed chopper city in the ghetto yesterday, good record

if fiddy is the best rapper ever..

Bon Jovi are the best band of all time.

And Paris Hilton the greatest actress. See 'House of Wax' for details.

50 has made 4 of the most monster records ever

even if he can't rap that well, no-one could have fucked up these beats:
what up gangsta
if i can't
p.i.m.p.
i get money
windowshopper is a great pop song and the get rich soundtrack underrated.

are people

really taking 50 Cent seriously?

im stll going for Del Tha Funkee Homosapien as my favourite rapper
