arrested development

not as good as spaced though

let's not get into US as well

AD and Curb are up there with Spaced

AD and Curb

spank Spaced with a large paddle.

maybe the best UK

comedy series of the last 10 years.

it's a possibilites. the references are endless, a lot of people miss the more subtle ones.

that's why

there's a homage-ometer. means hours of 'ahhh, that's what it is!' good times.

Like Spaced.

Like most of Simon Pegg's projects...but I think he's abit of a dick.

He's contentedly confident of his own ability

Maybe justifiably so......but I still like abit of insecurity.

Nah, he's self deprecating enough.

Not arrogant in anyway.

probably the best british sitcom

since red dwarf last did anything worth watching

Red Dwarf?!

That's your best comparison?!
You may as well throw Brittas Empire in there as well.

i was just coming back

to post something like father ted (black books is newer than spaced right?)

but i will defend red dwarf - it had a run of consistently funny series for a few years back there

I whole-heartedly disagree

But respect on citing Father Ted and Black Books.

The sitcom I love but everyone else seems to hate is 'Men Behaving Badly''.

mine is

the brittas empire

eek

Though...I do occasionally watch '2 point 4 Children,''.

men behaving badly was alright!

certainly better than any mainstream sitcom the BBC has shat out over the past few years

I know.

The BBC has had a very bad run over the past couple of years. 'The Office'' broke the mold, but it also ruined all other competition.

It's no

IT Crowd.

IT's no

Big Bang Theory

Yeah, but I thought we agreed

no American sitcoms.

it's no

after you're gone

it's no

Goodnight Sweetheart.

The Best ones are

The Office
Spaced
Arrested Development
Curb Your Enthusiasm

You don't need any more comedy series if you own these.

AD is one of the most under rated shows i have ever watched. Its perfect.

arrested develoment ftw

i cant think off any other show with as many jokes

....

Father Ted
The (British) Office
I'm Alan Partridge
Bottom
The Young Ones
Spaced
FRASIER (I know it's American...but it has a british sensibility)

this

+ I'm Alan Partridge

i could survive on that.

i can't think of a bad episode

the slo-mo fighting is the best though. or maybe the clubbing one.

I watched the Spaced documentary yesterday

Right at the end there's a little scene where Tim and Daisy are holding their new baby. Ahhhhhh.

Its very good

and it had the good grace to stop after two series, which plenty of other shows don't and so end up on a downward spiral

15 Storeys High?

I think the other bloke who saw it works nights.

Yes!

Glad to see another of the handful of people that watched it!

Have a can of Blue Rat to celebrate!

It's definitely up there with Spaced, Sean Locke rules!

It's great but if suffers

from the syndrome of it's so quotable. The more I hear people quote from it the less I like it.

^ This

though that quotage period seems to be on the wane a bit, thankfully.

probably my favourite fter League of gentlemen

but unlike LoG, I'm not sure how actually good/funny it is. I do love it though.

I re-watched Spaced last year

and thought it was pretty terrible in retrospect. Ho hum

the first season

is perfect, but the second wained a bit. Especially the first (Matrix) episode, i didnt like the Matrix and looking back on it now it didnt date very well.

Peep Show...

...series one is amusing me greatly this week.

Next week it'll be Peep Show series two.

And so on a so forth.

ftw - fuck the what?

it's no

Green Green Grass

It's no

Dad

Or Still Game.

I think it's brilliant that

whenever they lose a bit of momentum, they just bring in another 'stupid' character. First it was the older son, then the assistant dentist, then that blonde girl and last time I saw it there seemed to be some Welsh homeless bloke who's even thicker than the blonde girl.
