I'm watching a programme on the tele, basically seven or eight coppers are trying to set up people as thieves by leaving a lorry open. I'm not sure a thief is a thief; someone short of money who acts oportunistically to make a few quid, for instance, isn't the same as someone who earns their living my stealing. Anyway, i don't know what coppers earn, say it's £100 a day. There are seven of these cunts forcing a situation where a poor person may or may not steal something. Have they got nothing better to do? There are people actually commiting serious crimes, ffs.

I was going to post about this.
It's almost like they are fishing or something.
what programme is this?
it just sounds like a shitty way of increasing their arrest rates
It's a difficult question
the crime is the intent, I think. And it's a way of finding people who would do that before they go on and do it for real, harming somebody.
On the other hand, it's a bit disingenuous.
I'm not sure.
I wouldn't burgle, stab, kill, rape etc, but if i saw a lorry open, with something i could make a quick buck off, open and unmanned, i'd have a quick mooch, as would most people.
And you'd be breaking the law
so you know you're running the risk of getting caught.
You'll never ged away with it
ged with the plan.
gedding fuckers.
go ged laid.
most crimes
are oportunistic. Most criminals arent career criminals they merely seize upon opportunities so it is a pretty safe bet someone who is willing to steal out of a lorry has almost definitely done something similar in the past.
I fucking hate shows like this,
for exactly the reasons you say. One thing it does show is that a lot of crime is heavily linked to inequality and some messed up value system where (to use the cliched term) greed is good. Those who can legitimately achieve these ends wiil, and many who can't will simply turn to illegitimate means. A lot of this I see as down to a nasty streak of individualism in society, further encouraged by all this "aspirational" lifestyle tv; oh yeah if you do this, this and this to your property which is already perfectly acceptable then you can further price people out the housing market. And yet this kind of thing is applauded as something we should all aspire too, programs like the apprentice too, yeah they're entertaining on face value but look deeper and it's that same attitude of "screw everyone else, I just want success and wealth all for myself."
There, rant over.
