So yeah, I'm currently really enjoying Lovesick by Friendly Fires despite, or perhaps because of, the fact that the verse melody is a rip-off of At Night by Shakedown with a bit of Jacko's Can't Help It thrown in for good measure

So, which song are you currently listening to more than 5 or 6 times in a row...?

i never listen to 1 song that many times in a row, but this week's winner:

Ghostface Killah - (track 4 on Fishscales)

'Melody'

by Serge Ginsbourg.

well as it is my week off

i bought:

at mount zoomer - wolf parade
mirrored - battles
it was hot... - microphones
modern guilt - beck
hvarf/heim - sigur ros
black wooden ceiling opening - mount eerie

and having a brilliant time! at the moment walls by beck is my favourite.

the Newsom

Sadie, latitude was key to its re-emergence..

Sandy by Caribou

I Hate You by Rob Crow.
and Backwater by Brian Eno

no idea why.. they just seem to fit this week.

It's ace

SNAP!

I've got the video to it downloaded n'all now; it's the sex.

it's a tie between

Andrew Bird - Plasticities

and

Method Man - Bring the Pain

Eels - Novocaine for the soul

incidentally, where to start with Eels? That album?

a lot of people seem to love that album

but it's never done much for me.

start with Electro-shock Blues or Daisies of the Galaxy.

YES, YES

..

i envy

anyone who's just beginning to explore the eels back catalogue. any of their first three albums is an excellent place to start, for completely different reasons. right now i'm far too juiced to go into those reasons. enjoy, my friend.

Trim - Soulfood Vol.3

I am playing this alot at the moment it's brillinat.

Peverlist - The Grind, its a beast of a tune that I keep playing alot and the drums are bangin and mad. I cant quite get a tune to mix with it yet in a sexy way.

as always

The Wave Pictures 'We Sugared Our Apples'

the closing track on the album 'Sophie'.

Lovely it is too!

I like this

especially the stupidish seemingly nonsense ad-lib lyrics

ta

i have no idea what you're talking about

i think they make a hell of a lot of sense, especially compared to the rest of tim kinsella's career

Dizzy Gillespie For President - Jetplane Landing

Actually can't stop listening to this at the moment

holy ghost!

hold on

Hong Kong Garden

Champs - Wire
Range Life - Pavement
No Surprises - Even

remix

dont know who it is. might be soulwax

its magnificent 7 by the clash mixed with romeo- basement jaxx..... stupidly dancey...so good

"stay positive"

by the hold steady.

Well, stap me if I don't agree with the initiator of this thread !

Great record. Looking forward to seeing them in Tunbridge Wells tonight also.

Drugs

The Music

todays favourite song is....

holiday surprise by olivia tremor control

Andrew Bird

Heretics.

Honestly?

Set you Free by N-trance

(I'm gonna be barred for this)

Kid A - Radiohead

Blue Ridge Mountains = Fleet Foexes

Really enjoying Deftones

and 'Beware'

Probably

Horrorshow by Reuben, it's been a very emo week

Shrinking Moon for You

by Wooden Shjips; fucking hell does that rock.

The live recording of

Crawl by Kings of Leon. Fucking great song!

Shake Some Action

by The Flamin' Groovies

correction

Jacko's 'Get on the floor', not 'Can't help it'

Interpol

As a whole, the band have taken 80% of what I've been listening to but The Lighthouse and Leif Erikson in particular have been occupying my listening schedule post-Latitude.

Styrofoam Plates - Death Cab For Cutie

and Wolves - Phosphorescent, which I still think is miles better than Bon Iver's song of the same name.

Monty got a raw deal by R.E.M

and
The Hungry Saw by Tindersticks

malcolm middleton - week off

"It's easy hating yourself, it's hard making it rhyme"

Good Friend

Plants & Animals

I'm just

listening to the new Dandy Warhols album on repeat so, all of that.

Loveless - MBV

Songs for Kylie - BALLBOY

their new record is astonishing. Anyone going to indietracks is in for a treat.

The Envy Corps

Rhinemaidens.

My two are;

Fashion Crisis in New York by The Frank and Walters and A Good Cafe on George Street by Rosie Taylor Project.

Clipse

Hello New World
