Can anyone explain why last.fm only scrobbles half the stuff I play on my Ipod?
I know for a fact that I listened to the Chris Walla album about three times today yet when I plugged it in it didn't even acknowledge one single play. This has happened before with other stuff too.

that's had a problem with it.
Not that it matters in the grand scheme of things but I think what I listen to on my ipod reflects my listening habits a lot more than what I listen to on my computer.

it's either missing out an entire album's worth of plays or scrobbling each track three times.
i dunno, its pretty temperamental
i remember when it scrobbled two of my tracks 22 times each, i have no idea how it happened!

For me I find that
It only scrobbles tracks I listen to all the way through

Used to have trouble with scrobbling songs played on my Ipod before I'd synced, if I'd played stuff on the home PC since then. It's been better, but still. Should just scrobble EVERYTHING.

like, scrobble from your ipod? someone told me it happened when you plugged your ipod in or something...
that didn't work! is there certain software like?
I could be very wrong....
but i get the impression it only does it one a week from the ipod.
hook up your ipod to itunes
open the last.fm client
click on 'help' then 'diagnostics'
go to the 'ipod scrobbling' tab, and then 'scrobble your ipod'
and bingo, it should work out what you've played since your last scrobble and submit it. I don't know if it's supposed to do it automatically but I've always had to take the manual route.
the latest version seems to be
much improved. infact it scrobbles everything my ipod plays at present, which is nice.
You might want to make sure you are running the the latest version of itunes and last.fm just to be sure.

mine seems to have picked up on this automatically now, it never scrobbled the ipod before but now i have a ton of stuff from saturday, although i'm pretty sure that the tracks weren't played twice which is what last.fm seems to think...
i assume you can turn off ipod scrobbling being enabled.
mine sometimes scrobbles twice
but then the duplicates get eliminated with the LastFM weekly snapshot routines
I use PC, iPod, iTouch & LastFM on iTouch and all scrobble for me, although there are occasionally delays
iSproggler seems to work okay for me
the last.fm plugin was a bit temperamental about what it chose to accept.
My Last.FM hasn't worked in a month or 2
it's so annoying :(
