Not being a football fan

I would probably be involved with so many more conversations in the office if I liked and knew anything about the game. I used to pretend that I knew what I was talking about but learned pretty fast, that was a bad idea.

Anyone else here go quiet when the topic comes up in a group?

We did used to have

Clive Walker on the wing when he played for Woking. Thats as far as it goes.

It rarely comes up in my office

which is why I spend so long talking about it on DiS I suppose. When it does come up I have to bite my tongue and not correct various factual innaccuracies as that would make me look like a big pompous arse.

i work with a team of women

and im not being sexist against women who like football, its just most don't and my colleagues fit into that cateogry.
Any who do think they like it always say the most obvious things as well. Always take the debate down to the lowest common demoninator.
