MMISL always struck me as this difficult, technically proficient, post-hardcore proposition, which admittedly is the sort of thing i'm willing to fall for even if it isn't amazing, but this album is just so much more than that.. it has this strange emotional depth running through which only becomes apparent after you learn to accept the way it's delivered to you.. eins zwei drei and come to new york are more affecting than any moping bedroom-ridden acoustic "troubadour" could ever hope to be..
It's fucking great. End.
Didn't they split?
Proof that there is no sustainable UK metal/rock scene when a band this good has to call it a day. If they are still going then ignore just about everything I just said.
wut?
their singer left saying that his heart wasn't in it anymore. not because they couldn't afford to live
that's not why they split though, they were gonna get a new singer as i recall
they said
it was due to the drummer leaving. he was 'irreplacable' apparently.
he broke down crying, no?
poor lad :[
ace album
ace band, I missed the boat when they where about saddly as I would have loved to see them live.
Much love for this album
I remember ordering it from amazon and then waiting over a month for it to arrive for reasons that they never explained.
But despite that it was well worth the wait and definately one of my albums of 2007
3:57 - end
on eins zwei drei ALWAYS puts me in the ZONE.
i love this album
too.
definitely the album of 2007 for me.
i'm glad i got to see them live twice as well :D
i love ..Bathroom SO much
so much that i will listen to it NOW.

Amazing achievement
I've been in shit garage bands where the simplest song takes ages to get right. 'Variations' is staggering as a debut, but stands alongside bonafide classics of the genre without being derivative.
It took me ages to 'get it' though. It's sad to think of what they might have been doing in two albums time.
.
Amaing album really, when it was released I couldnt stop listening.
The ep is also very, very good.
I managed to see them 3 times as well, once fully instrumental as well, good times.
I love it as well
It took a while to get into, but it is just awesome. Ive desribed it as an album that doesn't jumps around the place like a hyperactive toddler.
the instrumental tour
was a little heartbreaking when i saw them, blakfish and the odd obsessive screaming every word back at an invisible Toby.. the rest of the band looked a little lost..
THE TINY BLONDE HAIIIIIIIIIIIRRRRRRRRRRR ON YOUR ARMS
Scra-atched vinyl
Such an amazing record and so proud to have been involved. It's awesome to hear people still enjoying it even though the band are no longer with us. I think people will still be discovering and enjoying this one for years to come
I'LL HAVE TO KEEP MY EYE ON YOU.....

Cracking album. I never actually saw any of the instrumental sets they did, but the few times I saw them live they were brilliant. Love the drumming as well.
people have said that....
...if you like mmisl, you may like eiger, (my band , but not a jag coz we've broken up too). we had stuff on unlabel.
