Just ripped this of their website... I can see drunken casualties! love a bit of splat the rat though!
New to Field Day this year is a dedicated village green area. Throwing coconuts at Amy Lame's head?
Now there's an idea.
I have to say
Im feeling more positive about this than last year..
They have an actual tab on the website http://www.fielddayfestivals.com/village/
so surely they will actually be doing it! SPLAT THE RAT!
They were meant
to have all this sort of stuff last year as well...
I was just thinking that.
On the website there's picture of tug of war as well. I thought none of that happened last year.
Battles were meant to have a tug o war
with Liars, never happened.
last year.......
they were supposed to have loads of stuff like this last year and there was hardly anything - it was perhaps as disappointing as the lack of amenities.
I did feel that the
'village fete' style of the event was somewhat (actually, very) missold last year.
Yes, you could buy some cup-cakes, but it was very much like most other festivals in terms of what was on offer. Except there was effectively hardly anything on offer because you had to queue for three hours to get it.
Jeff Lewis, Efterklang? Going again this year, can't wait!
the smoothies were good
as were the cupcakes. but it was hardly a "psychadelic village fete" - there was probably a coconut shy, but it was all tucked away in the corner somewhere and probably turned into a makeshift bog by the end of the day
I think
its pretty different to last year, didnt see them list all of the activities, I am keeping the FAITH!
SPLAT THE RAT!!!!
Wooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!
Cant wait
for this now! Me and that carrot eating contest have date with destiny!!!!!!!
Drunken Coconut Shy, is a recipe for disaster!!!!
i'm going
not entirely sure this stuff will be anygood. as others have said they promised alot last year, almost too much, and didn't deliver...
I love the village green
and all the simple people, I love the village green, the church, the clock, the steeple, I love the morning dew, fresh air and sunday school.
They had a coconut shy last year
Looks Like
they are pretty serious this time like!!
