tent but it was really just two two man tents joined together... and it blew down under a slight wind. I have a £500 tent at my disposal, so can't really see down to the level of cheapy ones... not after being convinced that one time.
for about £40 and it's great. It's three man (so only fairly comfortable for two really) and has got a funky little led lighting system that worked suprisingly well.
I was shocked at how cheap tents can be. And not in a bad way.
i get a eurohike avon one from millets. Fits 3 people with porch space for festival paraphernalia. Was £40 this year - split however many ways it's not too bad
but lacking in motivation to reuse the same tent year on year. Last year we put one of the marker things on it to indicate it could be taken away by charity people for donation to the third world/ other great philanthropic use
I have a tent question also.
If i'm going to a festival with someone, is it better to take two tents or just the one?
I also need to buy a tent.
well
i've always had a 3 man tent all to myself. i'd say two tents but if you want to share get a 3 man tent, you'll be glad of the little extra space.
Ebay is where my mate got his for around £30 and it was a 4 man

Advice:
go for a 3 man if you want to sleep 3.
Just back from a camping trip and my mate's cheapo 2-man was seriously only suitable for 1!
She picked it up in Tesco for 8 bucks and it worked a treat
if you want to sleep 2 even*
I got one from Blacks or Millets last year
for about £40 and it's great. It's three man (so only fairly comfortable for two really) and has got a funky little led lighting system that worked suprisingly well.

It might have been £50...
but i think only £40.
The Asda in Harpurhey
is selling 2 person tents for £3.50 at the moment! Maybe they've got some in Hulme too?
that would be handy
if I wasn't at my ma's in Peterborough
Ah
do they have a big Tesco there? They normally have cheap tents, I think I picked up a three-man for about £15 last year.
DO NOT BUY ON OF THESE
they are really shit and if it rains you're gonna cry a lot
The Quencha ones
have an inner and outer tent. they're £23. Some quick pitch ones are literally just one lining. You'll wake up pissed wet through.
every year without fail

You're not one of those abandon/burn tent at the end of the festival types, are you?
not a destructive burny type, no
but lacking in motivation to reuse the same tent year on year. Last year we put one of the marker things on it to indicate it could be taken away by charity people for donation to the third world/ other great philanthropic use
Unbeatable`

took it to glasto last week and it slept 3 comfortably
Asda sell good sized ones for like £25
they do well as well, great value for money
*Mega bump
asda, tesco, are there any others?
According to the Argos website, all of those tents are sold out.
argos
does a 2 man tent, 2 mats and 2 sleeping bags for £30- ok if the weather is not too bad. Most places are sold out though.
Long link, urgh. Good deal if you are lazy and leave everything for the charity people.

Blacks and Oswald Bailey have LOADS
of quick pitch tents if that's what you want. Even the three person ones are a bit cramped, but you're paying for convenience.
