I'm looking for somewhere reasonably priced where I can chow down later.
Any suggestions? Please no one say Shish.

bang mash or whatever
cay tre
on old street just by the square is nice. or wander up kingsland road for much more of the same.
If you can deal with vege / vegan food, then Saf at the top of curtain road opposite plastic people / next to bar music hall looks good too. I can attest that they at least do amazing cocktails. not sure how much it counts as reasonably priced but it's not crazy
cay tre is vietnamese
btw
viet grill on kingsland road
owned by same people as cay tre and with same menu and prices, but has better decor, so go there instead. though Song Que just a bit up on the coner of Cremer Street is my personal fave and is cheaper
Wtf?
You can't have a round square. That's logically impossible. You crazy!
1/10

MY NEW HOUSE
you live in hoxton now?
not yet
this weekend. crondall street, just up the road from hoxton sq. nearer to you now <3<3<3<3<3
*swoon*
;-D
can i come for dinner
and a handjob?
Yelo
on Hoxton Sq is a nice thai canteen and it's pretty cheap
Cay Tre
have the barbecue pork
I cannot put into words how good it is
Miso
The Diner, although their burgers aren't as good as Bang's (which is a take out place)
Cargo, though i don't thibnk they do food in the evening
and Song Que
Is the Diner
actually any good? I've been tempted for a while, but a bit put off by reports of shockingly awful service.
service is a little relaxed...
but they aren't rude or anything. the waitresses are quite sweet actually! burgers are decent but not a patch on Bang - but then nowhere is as good as Bang. Milkshakes are amazing. Chilli is pretty good. Prices okay (cheese burger is about £7 i think) and the decor is cool.
That sounds good to me.
I really can't stand rude staff; it's the only thing that totally puts me off a place (that and eyes in the burgers).
Ta!
yeah rude staff = automatic 0% tip
Miso is wonderfully cheap too
Yelo
an amazing thai restaurant.
the main meals are all about a fiver.
NOMMMMMMMM
Yelo
snap!!
BEST
AMERICAN
PIZZA
(pitfield street)
£1.50 PIZZA!!!!
I'm gonna go for Yelo
It's next to the venue and we have a ticket to shift.
Thank you Sarah.
anytime
you won't regret it.
their corn patty things are AMAZING
are you a veggie?
I'm going with a veggie and don't want them to be neglected.
if it's thai
there will be decent veggie options (tofu etc)
There are loooads of veggie options
there's veggie shit there too
that place is evil
the smells of pizza always waft up into my window and make me hungry :(
i endorse these excited posts
and while id normally accept any crappy pizza for 1.50, these ones wont make you wretch at all!
The Red Lion!
Fantastic food. Just off the top right of Hoxton Square. Has a roof terrace and everything. Think the kitchen is shut until the weekend though.
Bit of a walk to Ruby (for yummy italian and sandwiches), Francos (awesome cheap takeaway pasta, big portision), The Diner (American-style, ace milkshakes) and Cargo (yummy, slow service though, nice outside area)
Second Yelo - there's also Macondo in the square, and the Tapas place, and Miso and JapCan...
I' also throughly recommend Bang across on Shoreditch High Street, you can eat in at Jaguwar Shoes.
Most of these are probably better as lunch places though. Yelo is a pretty safe evening bet.
will i have to ring up for Yelo
or should we be able to just drop in?
Just drop in
I've never had a problem getting a table
Bang is on Kingsland Road
Tapas - you mean Cru? yeah that's really good.
Also, the mezzanine bit to The Real Greek is reasonably priced and pretty good
has anyone been to Hache in Camden
Hands down the BEST burger in town.
Without doubt.
Really? Better than Bang?
Doubtful.
GO!
For the love of god go!
Hache - Inverness Street, the parma ham and mozzarella burger is fucking sex.
I have heard amazing, amazing things about it
I will go one day. I WILL! I have a friend who went in their early days; he was so impressed that he bought shares in the place. On the spot. Madness.
