Usually after loud gigs I get a high pitched noise for max of two days, but after seeing MBV a week ago I seem to have had a little hearing loss in my left ear. It's nothing too bad, just occasionally I am very aware that i'm not hearing things in full stereo.
It's weird because I wore earplugs for at least 50% of the gig and I havn't lost anything in the other ear.
Has anyone had anything like this in the past? How did you deal with it? I'm gonna go see a doctor soon but i'm worried they're just gonna say "your fault for going to gigs and listening to music on headphones. Nothing we can do."

i had that after seeing public enemy
and it seemed to go after about a week of resting my ears and not listening to my music as loud as i normally would.
also i read if you take the earplugs out for even a short time their effectiveness diminshes a lot (not that its a lot of help now)
I'm twice your age
and I reckon (all modesty out of the window) I've been to many more, much louder gigs than you and spent far more time listening to crazy headphone volume
it's probably an ear or sinus infection
don't worry too much about it
Give it another week then maybe visit a doctor..
Try and work out a test to see if that is the case or if it is just perception.
I dunno if a doctor could give you much advice other than "you have lost some hearing" or "you have not lost some hearing". Once it's gone, it's gone.

it feels lop sided for some time, I think it happened to me because I was stood next to one side of a monitor for too long.
You'll probably find that every now and then your ears will start ringing for no reason at all but then subside.
It gets less noticable with time, though sometimes your ear canals can be blocked due to them building up wax as a defensive measure. Try pinching your nose and blowing your ears out, it does have some effect. Throughout the last year I had to do this constantly as I worked on phones and was a music tech student. :(
I imagine MBV were insanely loud too.

my ears are still ringing quite loudly after MBV. Ho hum.
