TENNIS

my heart is actually beating really fast.

me too don't normally like tennis but that was pretty super

glad the swiss charisma-free zone that is federer lost

peachy

ive got a french thriller and a powell and pressberger to see out the night with fuck all to do tomorrow.

okay

just downloaded the Jaguar Love album, which is good. But I got up at about 6pm so won't sleep for a long time, making it really hard to get up tomorrow morning.

I'm going to watch the Science of Sleep in a bit as well

ahh

charlotte gainsbourg. she is amazing in that..

THE SCIENCE OF SLEEP!

Without a doubt the best film of all time.
ever.
ever ever.
evereverevereverever.
EVER.

It really is...

why would you say it isn't?

Whilst agreeing with Tristan,

that you are certainly wrong. I have a soft spot for that film. Its quite lovely.

'tell no one'

ive been waiting all day to watch it, and with otis redding on the intro, expectation is high.

im in the middle of downloading this

its meant to be pretty good

I want to see that

it's meant to be pretty good.

ooh, i saw that at the cinema

it is good (y)

Watching Greek

looking forward to the opener of the new season of Dexter

Im staying in

i got invited over to a girls house who i am dating but declined as she is quite annoying at the moment

tennis also.

cool glasses, dress, animal combo, by the way.

s'been ok

but very very boring

Sunday Nights suck

I have just got back from Boosh Fest so am damn tired from the journey even if I didn't have to drive. So I hope I sleep well in an acctual bed as I have been on a hard ass tent floor the last few nights.

I am mostly trying to find some mousteriser as the freakin sun came out all weekend and burnt my nose, and I was expecting loadsa rain, not a drop in Kent.

It was lots of fun thanx

lots better than I expected it to be. I went and did a thread about it and everything but I spelt it wrong in the title as I'm lame.... freakin boos fest :(

The comedy tent was amazing I havent seen that many quality stand up acts all in one place ever. It was kinda special.

Yeah not bad.

I've recorded some basic drum beats which sound not shit so I'm quite pleased and I watched the Tenacious D movie again.

Not too bad thanks

I'm listening to Sigue Ros and thinking about this weekend and it's making me smile alot. I also watched the final Doctor Who in the series and it also made me smile.

UPDATE:

I am now defrosting a freezer.

I agree with you a lot of the time!

Its ok, just having beers. Too many beers.

There's something about Sunday nights

that really makes you want to kill yourself.

maybe

when you were 12 and had to do homework with the insidious antiques roadshow themetune ringing out in the background.

i dont mind em now. but then i dont have to work tomorrow.

Downbeat

Federer :(

just about to order a stuffed crust pizza

don't know what toppong to go for though....

I was saying this to my housemates

not five minutes ago.

I've had to little sleep this weekend, that and too much alcohol last night is a bad combo.

I find it hard to go to bed early though as even if I do my mind is swirling with thoughts of the weekend and the upcoming week.

.

i spent my afternoon working in the children's section of an art gallery in town...

i came home to see my housemate has his lady friend over, sundays are generally 'couples day', so i'm leaving them to it in the living room and have barricaded myself in my room.

need some hot cocoa though...

Seventh Seal.

Two more chapters to go.

I get the meanings about life/death/existence but I'm finding some of it quite funny. Blacker and drier than midnight in the Sahara but humourous all the same.

how was your weekend?

did you get up to anything fun.

drank, danced, cooked,

went to the park, nearly died, slept, watched, ate, watched, drank!
this week is crap. 2 weeks 'till payday again.

nearly died?

over dramatic about my hangover.

i drank 3l of liquid in the park, and when i've been drinking i don't digest ANYTHING the next day. so it just sat in my stomach and i was still thirsty but looked 8 months pregnant. my tummy wobbled like a waterbed and i felt like dying the whole day. i thought i was going to explode.

:(

I hate that bulbus full of liquid feeling

weekend sounds fun :)

apart from the nearly dieing bit that suxx. but I'm guessing its from a hangover and not an incredibly exciting jumped from a speeding train insodent.

nearly died?

listening to the wicker man soundtrack

trying to decide what i listen to next

looking forward to tomorrow being more fun even though it probably won't be

I'm not bad tempered like I was before

Nadal winning has lifted my mood.

I'm going to watch Blade Runner, listen to the new Melvins record on my PHAT speakers and write some stuff. Yeah.

im gonna watch harold and maude

nadal winning has also put me in a good mood

I really like that film.

Did I tell you about this book you would like:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Easy-Riders-Raging-Bulls-Sex-drugs/dp/0747544212/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1215378971&sr=8-2

It's rad. And you can get it for 1p off marketplace. Could be the best 1p you ever spend.

i did that a couple'a months back and have read it

it was really interesting, it is actually what has motivated me to rent harold and maude :)

i kinda ended up thinking most of the people that they talk about in the book are horrible people though :(

Yeah, I was really surprised by how much of an animal Jack Nicholson was

And Bogdanovich and Friedkin come off like Grade A arseholes. I love it when Cary Grant tells Bogdanovich that people don't like seeing happy people in love because "they're not happy and they're not in love"

What a guy.

ha, yeah, this is very true

it was pretty interesting how much of a sort of improvisational and "free thinking" industry hollywood seems to have been back then, also interesting that these sorts of cultural upheavals are always fuelled by drugs in the english speaking world and not like politics or social injustice or whatever.

i had a bit more sympathy with friedkin than with some of the others because there didnt seem to be any great shift in his personality, it seemed like he was always a bit of a cunt, a lotta the others seem to have been corrupted by the system or fame or whatever and ruined the opportunities they had. its interesting how few of them actually managed to sustain a successful career in the long run.

Yeah, apart from Lucas

Who did it because he was stubborn and anti social, and probably has some sort of OCD or personality disorder.

And Coppola naturally, cause he sold out. He didn't even want to do The Godfather ha.

Down and dirty pictures

is a pretty good read too.

Meh.

My boss handed his notice in last week so work is just a big doss-fest at the moment so there isn't really much to dread.

Today wasn't great. Took self off to meet friend and his group of friends for Sunday lunch but detoured the wrong way round and got there an hour late. 30 mins later his folks arrived to take him home because he was very poorly. He could barely speak or walk or hold a cigarette and had drunk 1/8th of a pint only. Very very bad day for him.

The announcement that him and his ex are engaged was marred by the fact that they admitted him to hospital a few hours later.

They're going to try to get married in mid-end September which is great news, but I fear it may be too late :(
I hope I'm proved wrong though.

I feel restless, not really sure what to do with myself now. Crap film time perhaps.

:(

i hope he's okay

xx

Uhhh..

thanks hun. He has a grade 4 brain tumour and is going to die. We just saw it's effect more than usual today.

Hopefully he'll pull through today though. He fell into a coma a few weeks ago so I consider myself lucky to have caught 30 minutes today.

xxx

ah shit, not great.

just give him some great memories as best you can

(my dad is also dying of terminal cancer at the moment...all pretty terrible, but at least i know what you're going through)

:)

xxx

:(

Hugs xxx

back at you!

xxx

I still can't get used to

the Friday night project being the Sunday night project... and now I'm wondering why I'm watching it anyway.. argh.

feeling really wonky

worrying about my saturday night... shaking a small amount... making myself go running... yes

I had lunch at 7

Is it too early for dinner?

ha no.

what are you gonna have?

That jerk chicken ready meal from Sainsbury's

I was talking about yesterday.

Jerk chicken is a massive win.

Do you get rice and peas? I may go to the market tomorrow and try and buy some goat for curry.

You get sweet potato mash and spinach

I'm not sure how close to being jerk chicken it actually is, but it's ace nonetheless.

I'm listening to Saves the Day,

an odd choice of pick me up, whilst also mulling over my life.

eh?

you're listening to Saves the day

I was asking if it was the Through being cool album

getting hacked off with film four

they always show a classic at 11 (bullit this week, 3 days of the condor a few weeks ago) after a piece of crap (the italian job remake tonight).

i watched

love in the time of cholera today. not sure if i've recovered from just how bad it is.

but i'm going to greece tomorrow so my sunday night is very good indeed!

I've just got in.

I prefererred the other two nights of the weekend.
