It's pissing it down outside so want something to watch after the Grand Prix.
The last films I watched and enjoyed were: Half Nelson, Teeth and Quiet City. Anything in this quirky/indie vein would be brilliant. Thanks!

lars and the real girl
seen it.
was alright. Not a patch on Nelson mind. Keep 'em coming....
is teeth quirky indie?
yeah, I guess.
it's pretty original and pretty dark.
Titanic
not in that vein but please watch Seven Samurai
because it's the best film in the world.

i know you've all seen it n' all.
but NAPOLEON DYNAMITE IS THE BEST FILM EVER!!!
The Edukators
^this
is a great film. Yet hardly anyone I know has ever seen it.
I've seen it
it was good in places, quite lame in others.
How many places have you seen it in?
i so want to see quiet city.
is it good?
i'm watching easy rider tonight!
Quiet City
is well good. But I know alot of my friends would get bored by it. It just depends what your into, I guess. It's on Google Videos, so easy to get/watch. I love it.
o rlly?
i'll have a look for it.

Coffee & Cigarettes
if you haven't seen it already that is.
Tom Waits, Steve Coogan, Iggy Pop, Bill Murray etc
its really good.
Haven't seen that...
looks good, thanks
RZA & GZA
that film is so tedious
and boring apart from the steve coogan and the RZA/GZA/Bill motherfucking ghostbuster groundhog day Murray
Breakfast On Pluto
^this
or 'Hedwig and the angry inch'
It's not a film...
but the BBC one-off drama, Threads.
Horrifying.
Not quirky/indie but
Don't Look Now. Best horror film ever surely.
The Life Aquatic is also awesome.
ghostdog: the way of the samurai
if you haven't already seen it, check it out.
chopper and punch drunk love are also worth mentioning.
Ghost dog
Is a good film.
great soundtrack too
^yep yep^
chopper
is dirt cheap as well, seen it in many a pound shop
absolute bargain
can often be seen with south park the movie!
pound shops are great for dvds
i've seen chopper, scum, donnie darko, sexy beast and house of 1000 corpses on the same shelf.
you could volunteer
as an usher in an arthouse cinema and see lots of films for free.
Waiting for Guffman
which is my favourite Christopher Guest film, yep I pretty much prefer it to Spinal Tap.
Bottle Rocket - the first and best Wes Anderson film.
Two dvd's which I've bought recently
are The man who fell to earth by Nic Roeg and The cook, the thief his wife and her lover by Greenaway. The latter is probably better than 90% mentioned in this thread. It is superb.
Peter Greenaway's films make me very happy
Don't see them on DVD too often. Could do with a boxset really. Any idea if there is one?
anyone seen 'science of sleep'?
thats pretty damn quirky/indie
I really liked it but i'd imagine its not for everyone...
Das Leben Der Anderen
Or The Lives Of Others, in English.
I'm watching this...
now.
Nice...
Hope you like it, I did when I watched it yesterday...
rushmore.
or anything directed by wes anderson.
also, me and you and everyone we know.
watch in bruges
its not really in the same vein but it is probably the best film this year and very funny
