An Albatross
The Locust

The first Yeah Yeah Yeahs record. I'll get laughed at for saying that, but it's very similar.
Loads of screamo: Start with some Orchid, Yaphet Kotto, La Quiete and Antioch Arrow. Saetia and Off Minor are also way good, as Marlvrum will tell you.
Is it a bit weak when bands have a Backup Screaming Guy, who does the screamy bits for the singer? Hell is for Heroes and Funeral for a Friend have both done this, I think.
Disclaimer:I quite like both of those bands. Actually I deeply love the first.

S/T album is kinda like Orchid.
S/F EP is kinda like post-rock/ambient in some ways, screaming isn't too obvious (and in some places, can hardly be heard).

La Quiete.
I saw La Quiete
at a house show in Leeds. Amazing stuff!
There's loads of bands with this sort of screaming, see all 'emo violence' bands!
That was my house!
That show was amazing.
The Mock Heroic played too, and they are probably similar to what the guy who started the thread is looking for.
Off Minor are better than Saetia.
Listen to Off Minor.

that was kind of non-manly manly screaming. Or was it manly non-manly screaming? Or non-non-manly non-manly screaming?
I will now stop.
Kittie are manlier than most men on this board.
i'm trying to work out if that is an insult
and if so, to whom...
I can howl like a demon
i'll have you know.
