Indie/guitar music, whatever you might call it, is alarmingly caucasian. I met a chinese guy at a gig years ago. He was the coolest person i've ever met, he was wearing plimsoles & tight jeans, YEARS before Top Man started banging them out by the shedload. He looked like he'd cut his own hair, had make-up on and a Cadallaca t-shirt and was giving away fanzines. I never found out his name but he looked a bit like a Kevin. I saw him at several gigs and we talked about bands and shared spliffs outside. The friendship never went any further than that. He suddenly stopped appearing, i sometimes wonder what happened to him. Him aside i've only ever seen one other non-white person at a gig, that's pretty sad, not that i look at people in that light, or do headcounts or anything.

The the other 10% is made up of a thick coating of the gingerest of ginger freckles. The bits that are white are really fucking white though.

although they should come up with a better name for white ethnicity because although I am technically half 'white' I could never say that as it sounds stupid as I am considerably browner due to my half indianess. Application forms are a nighmare for me.
