Shock them with your loafishness. Flaunt the fact that you dont work 16 hour days. He´ll probably try to take loads of photos of you too, and try and make a few jokes about his little red book behind his back.
at least thats what we did.
My favourite exchange students were two Georgians (think Tblisi, not Atlanta)
one of them died after the break up of the Soviet Union. His Mum wrote to tell me. Sad days

That's definitely worth it,
regardless of money, the culture shock the boy will experience is enough in itself. I was talking to a Chinese student at my university because she was also doing temporary work for the same employment agency that I was and she seemed so surprised by how "lazy" British students apparently are; to which I countered that it's more a question of us having different priorities and not putting studies and earning money as the absolute key things at university. You really should do it, it'll be an eye opening experience for both parties.

was stunned and appaled that we werent set like 5 hours of homework every night. I think it got to him and he went nuts. now he does peace signs everywhere and changed his first name to mickey.
I don't know any Chinese people like that,
but I did meet one on the bus to uni who started talking to me and my flatmate about how, "sometimes we have naked parties, sometimes half naked parties." Imagine that being said in broken English...I was trying so hard not to burst out laughing, funniest thing I heard in a long time.

No not really,
he was a lot skinnier and looked like a scene kid (big side swept fringe, thick emo style glasses and skinny jeans). The only other time I've seen him was walking round Tescos. If I had a photo of him I would so set up a facebook group.

Yes but they are only 14.
Surely by that age their english won't be that good. I mean just think about how good at french you were when you were 14. It could be really awkward.
