Exeter/Brighton-based dance-rock trio An Emergency - who were genuinely brilliant at DiS's last DiScover Club at Notting Hill Arts Club earlier this month (photos here) - have announced three dates which may be their final shows ever.
Says guitarist Dan (pictured):
Hello,
An Emergency are playing some shows this week in the fine cities of Exeter, Cardiff and London. After these shows we are going in to hibernation. We may never wake from this deep slumber as we will be spending too much time dreaming of new life goals and challenges. Please come and see us play, it'll be fun times...
Those dates:
June
26 Exeter Cavern Club
27 Cardiff Clwb Ifor Bach
28 London Manor House Warehouse Party with Super Tennis, Breakneck Static and more
An Emergency's third album, Wrecked Angles, is out now via Faux Discx/Smalltown America, and can be ordered on lovely clear vinyl (DiS has a copy - it's well lush and shall be reviewed once someone finds time to do it justice!) from here.

.

was lucky enough to play with an emergency some years back with a quite old version of my band. we were shit, they shredded faces. bought record, loved them very dearly
I really hope this won't mean that
the CD version of the album won't be released...
it's still coming.
never fear.
oh brave exeter
all exeter bands split up...and dont get recognition till the bitter sweet end.
Also
Brighton/Exeter bands don't play Brighton as one of their final dates, apparently. Booooo.
Mind you we are all cynical and disinterested down here.
and i can't get in cavern
:(
Saturday
will be a fun evening. Exeter represent, yo!
Noooo...
But if you're lucky you can probably get your hands on the last few limited edition copies of the vinyl. It is blooming great, with hand screen printed and folded cover... Only 100 ever pressed. Invest!
