  • lol

    • That's a yay, right?

      • LOL

        • You're nothing more than a line in a book, Daniel

  • Don't be silly

  • I remember hearing a single off it, and even back then i thought

    "oh..."

  • YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY

    i really mean this.

    • ^5

It was inspired by your thread: Gang of FOUR; The WEDDING Present; FUNERAL for a Friend.

  • ewwww

  • I though it was alright

"Escape Artists Never Die" is a tune

  • I haven't heard it in ages,

but it's a big yay from me. They sound pretty rubbish now. :(

  • Yay

    It's going on now.

  • yay

i loved it when i was... errr 17? i suppose.

i can't remember the name but i used to love the (second?) last track, with the line "I'LL WALK UNTIL MY FEET ARE BLEEDING!!" yeah

    • :(

i don't have it with me or on my computer though.

      -=sigh=-

    • "Waking Up."

Oh god, when I opened the cd case a rather faded gig ticket of theirs fell out; dated 5 years ago. :S

      • those were the days

i saw them at reading, but i think that was the only time. was good fun though. i think i actually missed half of the white stripes to go see FFAF :P

        • indeed.

That was a great gig though. Million Dead supported and were probably the best support band I've ever seen.

I'd miss the whole of the White Stripes to see FFAF to be honest.

'Bend Your Arms To Look Like Wings' = massive tune.

          • As the sun sets...

            • on battlefields....

I HOPE YOU CAN SAVE ME!
I HOPE YOU CAN SAVE OUR WOUNDED HEEEEEEAAAARRRTTTTTTSSSSSS!

  • nearly as good as Underoath

    *retreats*

  • The song with the video with the guys with bags over their heads

and the sand digging thing, that was good. Also, whilst drunk, they were great live. Great gig - Fightstar = "YEAR 3000".

  • is amsterdam conversations on that album?

    • No :(

On the EP which came out before it.

    • Nah, that was on the EPs

I've got them somewhere. Probably worth a few bob now.

      WATERRRRR! BROKEN GLAAAASSSSSS!

  • WHO SHOT THE BULLET?!?!

    • THAT KILLED THE AIR TONIGHT!

      • WITHOUT A THOUUGGGGHT...

        • WITHOUT A REAASSSOONNN...

          • TAKE A GUN CALLED HATE UP AGAINST YOUR HEART

            AND PULL THE TRIGGER!!!

I love occasionally listening to this album, along with The Fake Sound Of Progress, to remind me how cool both FFAF and Lostprophets once were.

            • casually dressed is better than

              the fake sound of progress

              • Totally

They're not even in the same league.

  • I'm leaving, I'm leaving

Do me a favour don't eeeeeeven think of meeee noooow.

I haven't listened to this for AGES. Not since I saw them at the Underworld as 'Wake For A Mate'.

  • SUCH HOLIDAYS IN THE SUN DON'T COME WITHOUT SACRIFIIIIIIIICES

    • DENTAL PLAAAAAAN

      LISAAAAAA NEEDS BRACEEEESSSSSSS!

  • yay

    though it is JUNO

  • when i was 17 or 18 or so

i made a girl a mix cd in return for a cdr of the first ffaf EPs. she never made it. she came to see my emo band at the time, and i changed the words to one of the songs to "where's my funeral for a friend cd BITCH" repeated.

    incredible, non?

anyway, This Years Most Open Heartbreak is still my favourite song ever

    • something special

"my friend ran the 1st funeral friend for a fansite" i wont let him forget this, esp. when he's trying to be taken seriously.

      • What used to be the official FFAF forums

are the only band forums I've ever posted on <3

      • Your friend

probably never wore eyeliner or thought Racheal Stamp were cool, muhahahaha.

  • big YAY from me

reminds me of the summer of '03... such great times. i remember how goddamn packed the concrete jungle stage was at 12pm!!! couldn't even get into it.

i've got the 'four ways...' EP on vinyl & CD, whoop! it used to be worth quite a bit, not too sure now though.

    • :D

I remember that as well! I had to stand outside the tent for most of their set, but it was so good.

  • THANK YOU

    FOR MAKING ME
    WORTHLESS
    IN YOUR EYES.

    • in hope and desperation

      i'll find my own way

  • Really loved the first 2 eps

    still do.

Albums have just passed me by completely. Very average/boring!

    • ..

      a definate yay..

stupidly emo thou.. but u gotta love it..

reminds me of old times lol

      • massive YAY

Jimmy Eat World and Funeral For A Friend = my fave bands of all time.

I literally cannot wait until next Wednesday at KCLSU.

        It's going to be amazing.

Waterfront Dance Club is awesome. It's on their Myspace, and another newbie Beneath The Burning Tree.

        • Jimmy Eat World are shit

  • Can't pretend that

    You're nothing special
You've got to look at all of your options
You can't decide what to go for and its all about trust, its all about trust.

    • GO!

      • Oh

The "GO!" doesn't come in there :(

  • Massive yay,

I love that album so much, it makes me insanely happy...especially 'She Drove Me to Daytime Television'.

I LIKE THE WAY YOU CRYYYY!
BREAK MY HEART AND BREAK MY HANDS AND LET ME DOWWWWN!

  • TUNE IN!

    TUNE OUT!

    • IT'S SOMETHING MORE THAN NOTHING!

      DROP IN! DROP OUT!

ahhhh their ep stuff was great.

  • Yay I say

Quality album, my 3 fav tracks though are the b-side 'The art of american football' and EP tracks 'Kiss & Makeup' & 'This Year's Most Open Heartbreak'

    Overall though top banana init?

2nd album was a bit shite though

  • massive YAY :)

  • This track was a good 'un:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=anHzORs_Kdw

Wasn't on Casually Dressed, but a b-side on the Escape Artist's single.

    • is this the video with the baby?

      its amazing if it is!

  • I'VE JUST PUT THIS ON

    THANK YOU
    FOR MAKING ME
    WORTHLESS
    IN YOUR EYEEESSSSSSSS

  • honestly i forgot how amazing this is.

  • just going through youtube listening to some old songs

and i see 'studio updates' for album 4.

    They had a third album????????

    • i really refuse to listen to anything after casually dressed.

      it can't be beaten.

      • their new stuff is poor to be honest.

Hours was ok for a few listens, but it never had the staying power of the first album sadly. I didn't bother with the third.

  • I bought all the singles they released from

this album as well just so I could have all the b-sides.

  • (whispers) I can see the headlights...

I CAN SEE THE HEADLIGHTS AND PAVEMENTS,
MY LEGS CAN'T CARRY ME THAT FAR,
IF THIS DISTANCE ISN'T ENOUGH THEY'LL CRY ANOTHER RIVER TO SEE YOU DROWN.

    • Matt Davies wrote that song

after a drunken walk home one night!

      • hahaha, really? excellent!

I'd forgotten how great this album is, thank you Zapsta. The only track I skip is the first, which I think is pretty weak compared to the rest.

WILL BURN YOU TONIIIIIIGHT! (with moments forever faded)

  • If anyone wants my copy of the 'Four ways to scream......' e.p PM me.

    KTHXBAI
