a modern day classic, no?
also, one of the few albums i know all the words to.
despite my recent interest in noise, drone, avant-garde, blah blah blah etc, i still find early death row records stuff absolutely amazing.

pretty much
the key record for me when I was growing up. So many classics on this record. I got it on super-heavy weight double vinyl too. The geek edition.
haha,
my first purchase of this was a pirate CD-R off some guy on our local market when i was 14...definitely, definitely £2!
that and the original chronic
were with me in my formative years, many a day sat sipping on gin n juice, yeah i was laid back with my mind on my (pocket) money and my (pocket) money on my mind
I got a big fat dick for your big fat mouth
Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre are in the motherfucking house!
10/10 album.
It's a shame that he's never even come close to recapturing his swagger from that LP.
The whole dressing up like a 70's pimp thing he does at every opportunity these days really gets on my nerves.
that whole
west coast scene went a little limp to be fair.
Great albums from that era though!
Chronic
Doggystyle
G funk Era
Da Dog Pound
first record i ever bought
it's amazing
crap
Not crap.
.
I
Liked the Doggfather too. There's some really good songs on it. Not as good as Doggystyle though.
Also, when does a modern day classic become just a normal classic. It was out in 1993! That's 15 years ago! It must be borderline classic classic now...
it's great
Dre's production on Doggystyle and The Chronic is flawless
Absolutely
Brilliant album.
Remember my brother bought it from Woolworths the same day I bought Public Enemy's 'Muse Sick N' Hour Mess Age'. We put it on in the car with my Mum on the way home and that 'Bathtub' skit opens the album.......Mum went suitably mental (I was 14 my brother was 12)and I became a die hard Death Row fan over night! Some great guests on that album too - check RBX's verse on 'Serial Killa'
Gs and Hustlas
rules.
This is correct
The best song on the album.
So back up bitch...
I'm struggling, So get on your knees, And then start jugglin', These motherfuckin' nuts in your mouth.
Haha awesome. I listened to this for the first time in AAAGES the other day, and its such a good album to come back to, almost like an old friend to use a massive cliche. Everytime I listen to it it makes me feel like a pimp. Even though I'm white. And live in Cambridge.
This is
a superb album, love all the tracks on it
Dr Dre
is a wicked producer I wish he still did some good stuff though haven't heard anything good in ages from him.
I wanna be a muthafucking hustla
It was the first album I ever bought (I was 8). I havent listened it to it in a long time, but I remember Gz and Hustlas and Gin and Juice got a lot of plays. Oh and the inlay was pure filth. :)
