I'm a drummer still looking for a band that want to play music not because it's cool to be in a band but because they actually have good songs and know what they want to do.
I've been playing for a while and have recorded and played all over the place. I used to play drums for Cherubs (www.myspace.com/cherubs) until Cherubs didn't play anymore. I have just recorded a single for Ten Benson (www.myspace.com/tenbenson) which is all a bit RAWK. I've also played for The Montrose Avenue briefly (www.myspace.com/themontroseavenue) and stepped into the breach for Attack Switch Attack (www.myspace.com/attackswitchattack) for a gig or two.
I'm based in London and my e-mail is evening.glennie@gmail.com or www.myspace.com/bottoxbilly
Cheers

By the way...
...the kind of sound I'm looking for is a cross between Padded Cell, The Fall, S.C.U.M., Dave Tyack, Two Lone Swordsmen and British Sea Power!
Still Looking!!!

Pretty poor recording, but I suppose it's better than nothing.
May not be your bag, but we are after a drummer. Quite desperately. Thankyou.
The Tenets need a drummer
Hi mate,
The tenets are a rocknroll/indie/punk 4 piece who are looking for a great drummer with a sense of arrangement and pop structure. We need someone who is on the ball and works quickly whilst always looking for improvements. Bands that influence us include The Clash, The Smiths, The Libertines, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Cream, Oasis, Stone Roses, Arctic Monkeys, The Cribs, Kings Of Leon, Kasabian, The Doors, Jefferson Airplane, The Specials, The Strokes, The Beat, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Vampire Weekend, MGMT, Happy Mondays, Yeah yeah yeahs, The White Stripes, Love, The Bryds, Elvis, Buddy Holly, Nina Simone, Shang gri las, the Jam.
We are trying to create something beautiful and ballsy epic and euphoric and make people mosh and dance in equal measures. We have a rehearsal space in Clapham and are ready to audition next week. If this interests you check out www.myspace.com/thetenets our old demo is on there. Also a video of a gig too. (ps our singer had a cold when he did it and its got a dodgy production. These are our most libertinesy tunes and we want to break free from that and create something bigger and more euphoric and danceable. We are considering adding a keyboardist.
We need someone who can recreate what our old drummer did. Once we are tight then improvements can be made. Basically we need someone who can hit the drums fucking hard and does good subtle cymbal work, who can lay down the law and play tight as hell. Have a feel for build ups, breakdowns, crescendos etc. And a sense of pop structure and clever decision making.
We are a hard working band and want to jam 3 times a week and look to signed in the next 6months. We need someone with similar drive and ambition. We have a rehearsal space in Clapham.
