Does anyone else sorely miss this band? More than any other artists in the new millennium - Aerogramme were purveyors of modern music and much of their music is considered instant classics in my eyes. Anyone on board with this?

1 2 3 4, 1 2, 1 2 3 4, 1 2 3!

I need to pick up Sleep and Release.

were they a bit emo?

or am I thinking of someone sle?

MMMMMmmmm

not really. They were a mixed bag of post everything and then some. I know they got a lot of slack from their My Heart Has A Wish That You Would Not Go album title – sounds a bit emo-ish but it is actually a line form the movie The Exorcist.

Def need to pic-up/listen to Sleep and Release. Incredible album.

They were my favourite band for a long, long time

I miss them loads. Still, they did leave us 3 close to perfect albums. The new vinyl boxset thing that Chemikal Underground are bringing out looks pretty cool too.

Yes

Agree – so glad they are doing this on Vinyl. It’s going to be glorious.

So much so

That I might have to buy a new stereo with vinyl playing abilities specifically just so I can hear it. Expensive times...

i miss seeing them live

i only saw them 2 or 3 times, passed them up looooads of times

i only saw their last ever one at Connect.

Would have liked to see them more, given that they were local boys and it'd have been pretty easy

They were emotional at The Luminaire

First and last time I saw them. Wood is an incredible song. The split with ISIS is worth getting too.

Mmmmm

that Isis split is chugtastic

RIP indeed

This was one of the few bands that i could get all my friends to come and see. Unlike general consensus thought they got better with age too.

A Story In White is a decent album..

..although I failed to explre them further thus far.

...

Pleasant, but unexciting. 6.4/10

did you

ever see them live? defintely not unexciting live.

What are they doing? I was hoping to at least see a Craig B solo project or something, his voice is incredible. My favourite Aereogramme related thing ever is still Low Tide, the track they did with Isis... unbelievably good

...

I saw them on their last tour. It was good and everything, but the whole thing came across as mere mood music. Nothing to get my teeth into musically, if you get me.

</3

I really do miss them a lot, more than I should.

i only saw them the once

supporting thursday (shudder) with one line drawing, and million dead :)

i also saw that show

stuff of genius...

they played a pub in cardiff

with life without buildings, great days.

the first two albums and 'seclusion' were fantastic, the isis split very good. i was pretty disappointed with the last album though.

worth investigating craig b's old band ganger as well.

I played at that gig!

Both bands were lovely to us.

bloody hell

so you did! hell of a line-up. i miss the hung.

Never got to saw them live

Which is a bit of a pisser, but hey ho. Sleep and Release is a fantastic album, as is the rest of the output (apart from that rather dreary last album - suppose they called it a day before they went too Snow Patrol-esque at least). I could be wrong here, but isn't one of them now a member of The Twilight Sad or something?

Very good band.
