I was really impressed with their sound though, they used to be absolutely atrocious live, then they got a bit better, then they split up!Clearly they have been practicing for years like Walter S said.
New stuff wasn't bad at all, although possibly a bit more verse-chorus-verse than before, will definitely look out for it.
new song. And "How Soon Is Now?"
The rest of the "new" songs were all from the "unreleased" 2nd album with different names. However if they release that properly then it's still no bad thing, it's great!
I was a bit nervous after hearing so much negative talk about their live shows but I thought they were excellent.

agreed!
it was awesome. Quicksand used to do that Smiths cover years ago, so it was quite nice to hear. I think it was a b-side to Dine Alone
i think Walter Walter covered it
on that hardcore-bands-doing-The-Smiths tribute LP that came out about five years ago.
oh wait
that was Hundred Reasons :(
abort posting.
Walter Walter did contribute a cover to that
He did 'Ask', Hundred Reasons did a really terrible version of 'How Soon Is Now?'
^ this
it also had yourcodenameis:milo, thisgirl, cursive and some others on it
walter walter (basically walking concert?) and cursive were significantly better than the rest
HOW CAN YOU FORGERT
MILLION DEAD ON THAT LIST!
Shame you will receive in numerous handbaskets.

yeah
they slayed. full on rock hurricane.
oh yes
had an absolute ball last night, and they looked super happy to be there aswell which was good. New songs had a lot of promise too.
who
is supporting?
It's Exeter tonight, isn't it?
I'd hazard a guess at The Computers then.
They were the better of the two supposrts last night.
Which wasn't saying much
Rival Schools were on stage at 9.30 - so I'd recommend checking the stage times and skipping the support.
im seeing them
in leeds, but I haven't heard anything to do with support yet
I saw the Computers supporting Gay For Johnny Depp, bored me
is Ian Love playing with them again?
he's such a lovely human being.
Don't know about that
but he was rocking an excellent beard last night
Although he looked uncomfortably like Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor's
Assistant on Home Improvement...

which Smiths song did they do?
How Soon is Now?
Not as jangly as the original, funnily enugh. Satisfyingly beefy nonetheless.
It was certainly better than other covers of that song I've heard,
namely tATu's
or the zenith of masterclass accomplishment
that was the Snake River Conspiracy version.

I think there was like ONE
new song. And "How Soon Is Now?"

So so good
