Anyone else going to the show at the Joiners tomorrow night? blackheadline, perhaps?

If anyone from the Bournemouth/Poole/Christchurch megatropolis needs a lift, let me know.

Save the planet and all that.

i wish i was going

so that i could get a planet friendly lift with you

I'd drive to Manchester to collect you, but......

I fear that would be counterproductive and Thom Yorke would be angry with us.

: (

i'm going from weymouth

+2 friends but I think my mum is taking us which is nice of her

Your mum RULES!

How far is that, must be at least 90 minutes each way?!

yeah something like that

i'm not too sure why she's suddenly being so kind. This is the most excited I've been about a gig for quite a while!

I might be there

depends on the ol' revision. Joiners is fucking incredible though, have fun.

I'll be there.

I'm planning on judging for myself whether the world needs this band when Los Campesinos! already exist.

WHAT?!

I don't get the LC!/JoFo comparisons, other than the both being a bit hyper and boy/girl vocals thing they're plowing different furrows.

It's

that glockenspiel Alexei's always playing.

And anyway, they can peacefully co-exist: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3GCEmJHW5A

Just back from the show.........

Good fun was had by all.

Alexei, Kelly and Junior are all super nice too which is a bonus.

Good stage banter is a dying art, but it made a welcome reprise tonight.

Some notes:

New song which as yet untitled sounded very good though.

Super Mario Bros theme interlude during Sofacore.

Oh, Tubelord were great too, nice guys too, they joined JoFo onstage for the final song.

Friendliest doorman in the world, we chatted about mountain biking and the eternal hardtail/full suspension dilemma.

I met some people from Poole including a Napalm Death fan who explained at great length why he is doomed never to see The Subways in concert.

JoFo love The Joiners and reckon the soundman is a magician.

I ate at the noodle bar place next door, the chicken noodles and prawn toast were lovely, albeit a little expensive.

St.Mary's is the same as ever, I got accused of being gay by some ageing urban yoofz due to the fact that my tee shirt was a little on the tight side. If the size 16 hippos they were with are anything to go by I'd quite happily change team.

Errrrm, what else, they're definitely playing Truck, but I'm sure that's probably been confirmed somewhere by now anyway.

Right, I think that's it.

Nite X

I also ate at the noodle bar....

I live just down the road, and have never eaten there before, and now i will never eat from there again.

The girl who served me was brilliant.

This does not make up for how violently sick i just was.

bleugh.

p.s the gig was wonderful ^

Oh no, sorry to hear you were sick!

What did you order?

I was the guy wearing the black Sonic Youth tee shirt.

Was this a gig

or a Sex and the City convention?

Anyways - up, up (the stairs to bed) and away.

I'm not a particularly observant person anywhere other than the internet, i'm sorry!

Although my hair tends to give me away most places.

I ordered a 'house special'

- included delights such as:
Chicken, beef, pork, prawns (which i cleverly avoided and was still ill) and fish balls (eugh, same as before).

with rice.

Never again :(

above title ^

= geek central.

tonight was mint.

johnny foreigner were mint.
saying mint is shit.
goodnight.

so so

good!
that is all!
