Tonight's Apprentice

The interview one is always really good!

I predict Alex and Lee will get utterly destroyed but Claire will hold her own.
Lucinda will just look upset/confused and Helene will scrape through.

  • claire will come second in this series

to someone much more boring and lame

  • No way!

Helene must go. The best thing about the interviews is that SAS never takes any notice of what the interviewers have told him. His mind is always already made up by this stage.

I reckon Helene is deffo out, maybe Lucinda, maybe Alex.

    • Claire vs Lee

      in the final

      Claire will win fo shure!

    • Someone at work

used to work with Helene and says she used to be 'a right slag'

      • Hopefully she'll get grilled on that

        in the interviews.

        • I've heard she does

and the answers she gives are so disgusting that it makes Lee thinks he's a Pterodactyl.

  • I'm seeing a Lucinder v Claire final

Lee's good but his Pterodactyl impression will put off the interviewers.

  • I think Lucinda will flake really badly in the interviews

Claire will probably be able to bullshit her way through, especially if they're asking SAS-related facts like last year. I predict a Claire/Alex final.

    • ^this

I think Alex might win it too.

    • Why did

      Michael get fired :o(?

      • cos he was shit.

      • During the sportscar selling task

he decided that he'd pitch the Ferrari he was supposed to be selling sessions in in a Notting Hill street market. He was supposedly the team leader, but Helene and (mostly) Claire did all of the work, with Claire closing about 95% of sales. He ran out of bullshit in the boardroom, and SAS was clearly bored of his sulky little boy act, thank fuck!

  • wasn't this last week?

I remember half-watching something called The Apprentice: The Final. Was that just a preview?

    • The Apprentice: The Final...Five.

      as in, 5 people left

  • it's on!

  • Fluent English!!!

    :D

    • made me lol

he's far too obsessive over his age. does him no favours.

      • HE'S 24

        DO NOT FOTGET
        HE IS 24

        • lol

at two people who interviewed him saying "i was running a company two years before i was 24, that's no excuse"

and can lucinda die please? "i have a quirky dress sense tee hee i'm lovely" jesus i hope she cries

          • Lucinda reminds me of a girl I lived with for a year at Uni.

            Not especially happy memories...

            • She reminds me of Bridget Jones

She wasn't completely useless, just obviously far better as a lone rider.

          • I love you.

    • That was brilliant

      "Advanced skills" haha.

  • Why does Helene swear in every sentence she makes?

I don't know why but it annoys me a lot.

  • That guy is such a cunt.

I could not spend more than 30 seconds in a room with him without punching him in the face repeatedly.

    • The interviewer I mean.

    • interviewing guy currently?

i think he's okay. although he didn't make lucinda cry, should've pushed her a little bit further.

      • Yep, one currently (or currently when you wrote it)

Every year I watch it I feel like punching him.

      • I want to see the nimby wimby aromatherapist bleed

    • Yeah me neither.

Never mind punch, I'd have to elbow him and the rest of them in the face several times.

  • GOBSHITES

    LOL

  • why cant lucinda speak properly

and why the fuck can he not spell

  • "What does that mean you're disappointed?"

Says the man who's grilling him about his poor English.

  • LEE

LIED! OMG! ABOUT HIS UNIVERSITY EDUCATION! OMG!

    • LEE MCQUEEN IS CONCERNED

  • Lee is getting eaten alive

    rookie mistakes x 2

    • Surely rule number one of lying on a CV

is "make sure it's nothing anyone can check".

      • Sea of Success

        Ocean of Opportunity

      • this is pretty intense

I think Lee, Alex and Lucinda have been destroyed. Would be surprised if any of them went through, although reckon Alex might sneak it. Claire and Helene have done alright, survived at least, haven't been ripped apart.

        • Lee's really fucked up badly.

Lee could turn it round for himself if he plays Sir Alan the right way. Sir Alan does seem a bit of a sucker for a "look how I've done without any education" story...

Karen Brady seemed to like Lucinda so maybe she'll fight for her.

  • "nnneeed

to me doesn't necessarily come into it"

every time lucinda comes on the screen with her fucking face which is a combination of 'caring' and smug, that permanent stupid little smile and her kOoKy dress sense (since when was colour-co-ordination kooky oh yeah never) and her fucking stupid little everything i just want to punch the screen until my fists bleed and bleed and bleed

  • Lucinda is such a strange and frightening woman.

My suspicions of this were confirmed when I found out that she currently earns more than what this prospective job offers.

    • they all exaggerate what they earn

when you're a freelancer / contractor, it's very easy to give a false send of what you earn.

I'm guessing Lucinda gets about £400 a day, maybe a little less. That's technically £100,000 / year, but no way does she turn that over.

      • My thing with Lucinda is she does seem massively incapable in certain areas.

Like not being able to use a computer, for example.

And I think there's too many areas of incapability there for me to ever think her worth giving a job...

  • I'm waiting for Lee to come in wearing a hi-viz jacket and asking if anyone's seen Wellard

  • "Very interesting to hear a lady's view".

That was in no way patronising...

  • gawd

    i lurve da skarey musik

  • alex n claire innit

    • Alex is a

backstabber. I like him generally though. Claire & Lee I reckon will go through.

      • If I was an employer that would have put me off Alex massively.

        • Me too. A pretty bastard is a bastard all the same.

      • i don't think lee will now

claire definitely, alex mayyybeee, helene perrrhhaappps

        • alex

please stop talking. you're ruining it.

        • Lee's my favourite though

so I just want him to go through, even though the lying thing was a bad decision.

  • This is seven flavours of awesome

That Suralan clone getting a bit of a verbal slap from the boss in the interviewer feedback = LOL

Claire has this sewn up tbh

    • * barring a typical fuckup in the final task

      • christ

they all look on the verge of tears. This is pretty extreme tv.

  • SCORE

    LUCINDA IS OUT!
next: helene? too bland? lee? too lie-ey? alex? too backstabby? ohhh the tensssiooonnn

  • BYE BYE ZANY LADY

  • I'm worried that I find Helene a bit sexy there

    • didn't see that coming

      completely staged.

    • I'd have fired her for that outfit

      wholly inappropriate

    • french prossie xcore

    • i do find her a bit attractive.

      I know this is wrong.

  • FOUR WAY FINAL

    OH MY GAWD
    OH MY GAWD
    HE'S BROKEN IN HALF!

    [/JR]

  • COME ON LEE

with lucinda gone, he's the most likable one left

    • Yeah,

Lucinda was likeable in an odd sort of way, she always came off as the victim in any arguments.

    • I think I liked Lee more than Lucinda.

I sort of liked Lucinda but I'd have hated to work with her.

      • imagine working for claire

        • Your point is a good one.

I wouldn't mind working for Lucinda but working with/having to manage her would do my nut in.

The reverse is true of Claire - I think I could work with her so long as she wasn't my boss.

          • I think working with or for any of them

            would be terrible

            • I dunno. Lee's likable enough

and Alex and Helene'd just be quite bland really - neither good nor bad.

              • actually Lee is ok

                aprt from that bloody wink

                ...;)

                • I would want him to do the reverse pterodactyl for me each morning as a motivator.

  • Me and my mum were 'awwww' ing at

    Lee and Alex.

Alex ftw. I don't overly like him, but he wants to win so much.

As for Lee, i know he lied, but he's obviously embarrassed about his past, and i wanted to give him a hug. Aw.

    I'm such a fucking pansy.

    • And claire is just badger #2,

which is a bit dull. She's good, i'll just be disappointed if she wins.

      • Badger didn't win though

She had a murder mystery party on Tower Bridge! Sugar's face as one of the jobbing actors tried to engage him in some 'in character' dialogue is probably my favourite moment in the show.

      • yeh, claire is dulldulldull.

but according to my mum "she's the only employable one left".
and my dad wouldn't hire ANY of them, 'specially lee or alex because the hadn't shaved properly.
        brilliant.

        • Your Dad rules.

          • when he saw lee had

lied on his CV he almost exploded with anger, like he was really disappointed with him. siiigh.

        • ive grown to like claire

she seems a lot more likeable than badger and she is probably the most competent

  • I AM YOUR BOSS.

    That is all.

  • God i'm good

    http://discover.drownedinsound.com/articles/3265315

I got three of the final five, and you were all trying to get claire out with your telepathic vibes on the winds to AMS

  • i saw alex

in the sainsburys in fallowfield, manchester, like two weeks ago. he had a very red face.

  • I'm getting my thread queued up from a few weeks back.

The one where I said that Helene would be the winner!

    • it's clearly Alex or Claire

for the win. So next week it will be Claire and Lee McQueen v Alex and Helene. It's no coincidence that this is the way the teams have been selected, whoever wins will be the Apprentice. Pretty obvious.

Although, if like in previous years, that the finalists have been working for Sugar for the past few months and this will be the basis of the assessment, then there's a chance of a shock. I'm doubtful though.

  • .

Lee - bit of an oaf but seems a nice enough fella

Claire - complete loudmouth but seems to know what she is doing

Helene - a model? Nah not having it. Say ballsy again, I dare you.

Lucinda - 'quirky' but very attractive. Lucinda & Phoebe zany lezzo sandwich please.

Alex - good at sales but an odious twat and I don't see why so many women fawn over him.

    • Lucinda

      looked hot on You're Fired

Is this wrong to think like this? :\

      • yes.

her new haircut was AWFUL and put years on her. it didn't flatter her face shape at all, and drew attention to the fact that her neck is the same width as her head.

    • 'Very' attractive?

I sort of thought that, then I realised that she looked like a baby vole having a stroke. With a stupid hat on.

      • sometimes her faced

looked pretty craggy but sometimes very nice. She was the most attractive female contestant.

        • Nah, that stern-looking brunette with the tattoo on her upper arm was the best.

Of the final three, you're probably right. But only be default, because one of them has eyes that look like they could pop out at any time, and the other one has had more cock than I've had hot dinners. And had a horrible top on last night.

And THAT'S how to make a decision of this importance.

    • I don't think I'm going to bother with the final

Lucinda deservced to go. But she got fired for being "zany" where as Lee was kept on in spite of lying on his CV.

How is Helene in the final? She has done fuck all in the whole thing and has just ridden people's coat tails. Also if I was interviewing for a high up position and someone was swearing like that I'd told them to fuck off (irony central)

Clare has won she is basically the most no shit one.

But my main bug bear is Alex. Before I felt sorry for him, but in the last couple of weeks I've had a bad feeling about him. And well I agree with Jack here, he is an odious twat. "I'm 24, I'm 24, I'm 24" I don't know how to break this to you Alex, but 24 is actually pretty old. And also just because you need the job doesn't make you the best person for it. As far as I can tell the only reason he thinks he should get it is because of his age.

Then he tells the sob story about his parents losing their business but backs up with an indignant "I DID go to public school for 14 years" - 14 years, i.e YOUR ENTIRE EDUCATION, your parents can't have lost that much.

He answers every question with a pained sigh like Kevin the teenager like "Oh I can't believe I'm having to justify this" and speaking up in the boardroom to have a pop at Lucinda, I'd of fired him there and then the little slimebucket, I wouldn't want a fucking grass working for me.

I can't believe I got so het up about a TV show, I'm ashamed of myself.

Anyway, I can't be bothered with the final. The only person I want to win is Lee. He's an idiot, but a nice one, and winning would actually change his life.

  • i think that the fourway final is BULLSHIT

also, a friend said last night that the final contestants go off and work for Alan Sugar for 6 months before he decides who wins, as it's filmed way in the past.

is this true or complete bullshit?

    • bullshit

      • yeah i thought it sounded a bit wrong

    • Erm

      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Apprentice_%28UK%29#Format

"In fact, two versions of the final boardroom sequence are filmed — showing each of the finalists winning. Between filming and transmission — a period of about six months — both finalists work for Sir Alan in temporary jobs. Sir Alan does not reveal his decision about who is he is going to hire until shortly before transmission, and this determines which ending is shown. The BBC has issued contradictory statements about the decision procedure. The first version of events is that Sir Alan makes his decision on the day that the final boardroom sequence is filmed, based on the contestants' performance in the final task, and keeps it secret until just before transmission.[26] The second version is that Sir Alan decides after the six-month trial period.[27] Former contestant Saira Khan also stated that "His final decision is not based on the programme that people see. His final decision is based on these two people [who] have been working with him for the six months." "

      • that's a bit lame.

        i mean, filming two 'wins'

      • not sure I believe that

apologies for doubting the great oracle that is Wikipedia.

  • I saw this for the first time ever last night

    I don't see the appeal

    • probably because you

saw it for the first time ever last night

      • I have previously been aware of the concept

Some generally self-important people try and complete business-related tasks and one of the is eliminated. I doubt there was anything I wasn't 'getting' on an intellectual level

        • listen, it's all about watching them make idiots of themselves

and ultimately fail at seemingly easy tasks, while shouting at the tv, 'knowing' that you could have done it waaaay better and shown them what for. and stuff

          • Fair enough

I however, didn't see the appeal of it.

        • it's not the getting it

bit as obviously it's not high brow stuff but it's the getting to know the people involved, having favourites etc and seeing what's happened from day one

          • Maybe I don't see the appeal of that?

            • maybe you don't.

it's the only reality show I'll bother with

              • I have no real attention span

I tend to prefer TV series I can drop in and out of

    • right.

so you started watching on the second to last show? of course you didn't get it. you didn't see the drama leading up to it.

      • I haven't been able to escape the 'drama'

seeing is its here, on the news and loads of people I know talk about it.

I watched it last night and didn't enjoy it last night. Not crime of the century

        • i know that... but it probably wasn't the best episode

to begin watching it and base your opinion on... the interview episodes aren't the best ones at all!

          • They are!

but only if you've seen enough of the series to know the characters.

        • JUST LIKE IT LIKE THE REST OF US DAMMIT

          • Hehehe, I don't HATE it

But its been on for about 11 or 12 weeks now, right? I just don't have that sort of attention span

            • it's not 11 straight weeks

it's only on an hour a week

              • So?

I didn't like the episode I saw. I have little interest in following a series for a prolonged period of time.

                • I was kidding

I couldn't care less whether you watch it or not

                  • I really, really didn't imagine you did

  • I'm still hoping Raef wins, somehow

Sugar needs to realise what an absolute ERROR he made there. I mean, it's his destiny. If it's not to be, then I'm prepared to start a campaign to make him the Mayor of London

  • One of the Final Four is

    working for Somerfield

So i'm pretty sure they don't win the show.

I've also been told by another friend that someone else definately doesnt win. But after last night i think they lied to me

    • and i'm seeing them on Sat

so they are going to get a punch in the groin if they've been lying to me for the last 12 weeks

    • well, they'll be sscrewed

when somerfield gets bought by the co-op then, won't they...

      • maybe

maybe not, might get a better job, takeovers and restructures are all part and parcel of jumping up when everyone else is jumping off. Work smart, not hard is my motto.

Or, jump ship when you hit a ceiling or the ships sinking, both of which have happened to me recently. I jumped and actually got on abigger ship

  • OMG OMG OMG

    • whatta cunt.

    • "Read my weekly Apprentice blogs and hear my thoughts on each task."

"Ian was project manager and we failed the task. Ian took Kevin and Simon into the Boardroom and was fired."
^ How are these his thoughts on the task??
      :/
