Hi,

Does anyone know if Laura Marling is touring with Noah and the Whale at the moment?

Cheers, L.

she was

a couple of weeks ago, but at that gig they announced she wouldn't be any more, most likely, as she's going off to do solo stuff

missed your chance I'm afraid :)

i think

they've got the woman from slow club doing the backing vocals on this tour.

So she won't be touring with them again this year?

What about their October dates? They're a great little band but Miss Marling just gives them more of an edge!

it a possibility

that they are both are end of the road and could hook up then

actually

what i just said is completely untrue!

awwww

I was going to be angry with you for that untruth but your profile pic is just too cute! I don't know whether they'd be worth seeing live without Laura Marling...

these dayz

its either becca from slow club or lilly flynn from the sussex wit what does b.v.

They are, aren't they?

Laura's playing the Friday, NATW the Saturday, neither has anything else on their Myspaces for that weekend. But yeah, I think the Great Escape was unofficially billed as their last gig together.

they both played truck

similar circumstances, but she didn't guest vocal -- they actually went without which was pretty lame.

she's with mumford still i think. they > noah.

Weren't they at other festivals that weekend?

Anyway, this isn't worth starting a new thread for, but this is one of the oddest written reviews I've seen for a while: http://entertainment.timesonline.co.uk/tol/arts_and_entertainment/music/cd_reviews/article4479263.ece

Leaving aside the idea that line about "Jeffrey Lewis and Jens Lekman, their obvious inspirations", so obvious nobody else has picked up on them, and that horrible "put the twee into tweedy" bit, what's up with the ending? It looks like it's going to set up the next three or four sentences, only there aren't any.
