Anyone have any info on the line up for Shepherds Bush, i'm guessing Feist as she's in Manchester the night before.
Be good to see Amy Millan and Emily Haines in the line up

lineup for this tour is

Kevin Drew, Brendan Canning, Justin Peroff, Charles Spearin, Sam Goldberg, Amy Millan and Evan Cranley.

Feist's lack of show that night does suggest a guest appearance though...

Sheffield tonight

going solo, BUT SO EXCITED!

they were totally awesome in sheffield

they played 3 songs off spirit if, 3 or 4 new Brendan Canning songs (they were all really good) and then pretty much every other song I wanted to hear. After some convincing they even played It's All Gonna Break!!!!! I talked to Brendan Canning afterwards and told him his new songs were great and he was really pleased :D

Downsides: They sold out of sensibly sized t-shirts so I ended up accidently buying one that fits like a bedsheet. Just now I then went on the arts and crafts website and bought one in a proper size. £32 just for one (two) shirt(s), christ I can't really afford that but whatever, it's broken social scene - they're the best band in the world.

almighty!

oxford tomorrow

or today. YESSS. also the prospect of merchandise excites me. Did they play much off 'you forgot in people'?

they played

KC Accidental
Anthems (with Amy singing)
Cause=Time

No Stars and Sons (i think) and when Kevin did his whole "what do you want us to play" routine at the end Almost Crimes got rejected in favour of It's All Gonna Break. Rightfully so, it was amazing.

oh yeah

they played a short cover of Summer of '69 which ruled. And Brendan can sound like Peter Gabriel if you close your eyes. The third song they played was a new Brendan Canning one with loads of words so they all (apart from Amy) had to have the words written down in front of them, even Brendan! I was kind of scared we were going to end up with a drunk and angry Kevin Drew because he was getting pretty annoyed that the lighting wasn't good enough for him to read the lyrics but it eventually got sorted out and by the end of the gig he was telling everyone to be happy and to love each other :D

oh AND finally

The Brunettes were really good supporting but nobody seemed to care. They were surprisingly enthusiastic considering how apathetic the crowd was.

Oooooo

I'm going to this in Oxford tonight! Am well excited, never been to Oxford before. I really want a t-shirt, they better have good ones!

they had

a gray one with a bear on and a green one with broken social scene on it. They were both £15. They also had some spirit if shirts that you could buy two of for £15. If you're small or medium buy one early. I forgot how huge large American Apparel shirts are. You'd think bands would bring more small and medium shirts to cater to their skinny hipster demographic :(

you can see two of the shirts here:

Awesome

Thank you. I want the green, one, I dont have many green t-shirts..

oxford

sucks though!

I'm in for Friday

I think they might be my favourite band.

I cried I was so happy at the end of their ATP set

Sheffield set-list was dire

They didn't play Cause = Time. (Or at least i don't remember it).

No Stars and Sons, Almost Crimes, Lovers Spit.

Hit The Wall would have been nice live. And Drew decided to play the weaker songs from his solo record.

Good performance, don't get me wrong, but the set-list was verging on criminal. Anthems For A 17yr Old Girl was probably the highlight (but without the strings it's not the same)

i got cause=time mixed up with pacific theme

anyway, off Spirit If they played Backed Out On The..., Frightening Lives, Farewell To The Pressure Kids and Fucked Up Kid. I wouldn't exactly call them weaker songs, especially not Backed Out On The...That was amazing. Brenden said afterwards that there wasn't enough time to fit Hit The Wall in but they'd come back another time and play it. No Stars and Sons was the only bad thing but they played it last time I saw them. I mean they played Ibi Dreams Of Pavement, Superconnected, Shoreline, Major Label Debut(Fast), It's All Gonna Break and a load of kickass new Brendan Canning songs. That's hardly a dire setlist.

oh gosh

i'm so excited.

also i opened this page and the "from the archive" thing at the bottom was this Kevin Drew interview: http://www.drownedinsound.com/articles/2386640

"I’m going to come to London and give speeches on how people should be more responsible to their hearts, minds and stomach. That’s my goal."

<3

'missed' them at ATP

really looking forward to this. Hope they play Pacific Theme and Shoreline.
