sheer fucking brilliance in book format!
anyone else read it?
not sure how appliccable it is to other people though...
what is everyone reading right now?
also reading another book called 'Love & other infidelities'.
on the movies side of things,
i saw "Nims Island" last night - it was a bit beautiful.
Nims Island makes me wish Pimms Island was a reality
I shall lounge back a jug of pimms n a coconut n seduce pretty shell fish with my charming smile.
all to yourself?
that would be a rather shelfish thing to do :P
No need to get crabby
och, just feelin a wee bit crabbit today
now bugger off before i (herm)hit you with my book!
not the title of your biography then?
8/10
close
but someone already had it
Im reading Our Band Could Be Your LIfe
its really really good
what's it about?
'the american indie underground 1981-1991'
it just profiles 13 bands from america, one in each chapter. it talks more about their lives and stuff than the music itself, but its pretty interesting and has profiles on some of my favourite bands like minor threat and black flag.
it sounds pretty good, actually.
yeah i think even if you didnt like the bands featured
itd still be a good read, as it happens im in love with a few of them so its brilliant.
Jack, have you read Get in the Van yet?
Black Flag tour diaries, get the large format version, incredible artork and dozens of show flyers.
*artwork
Fuck this place I'm going for beers and burgers.
xSTRAIGHTEDGEx
ive been trying to get hold of it
my friend has the small version, but ive not seen it anywhere. i would really like it.
and on the straightedge related thing, im not drinking in the near future at least. i cant handle it. positivity!
who is 'jack'?
ftr
lol
you can shut it
get in the van is pretty good
I like the scrapbooky feel of American Hardcore more.
It's great to read a few chapters and check out some cool pictures after hours of sifting through some academic waffle.
yeah ive got American Hardcore too
its like a zine really. pretty great
