what do you think will top the most critic's polls at the end of this year?

I reckon it'll be No Age although Hercules and Love Affair and Atlas Sound could do it.

No Age

Atlas Sound... for me I dont think Hercules and Love Affair will top anything its only half a good album if that. why? might get a look in I guess.... Oh but Bon Iver may well top all the lists... I wouldnt choose it over No Age and Atlas Sound though... but what do I know hay... my top five is

1. Atlas Sound - Let The Blind Lead Those Who Can See But Cannot Feel
2. No Age - Nouns
3. The Mae Shi – HLLLYH
4. Youthmovies - Good Nature
5. Flying Lotus - Los Angeles

I think the She And Him album

will do well by the end of the year.
It's won a place in a lot of people's hearts including mine so the UK release should win a few reviewers over too.

The Uncuts/Observer Music Monthlies of this world...

...will go for Bon Iver.

That doesn't detract from it's awesomness, but it is fast becoming one of those records that people who like Jose Gonzalez buy.

Other than that, yeah, the Drowned In Sounds, Pitchforks of this world are going to go for No Age innit.

I agree

Bon Iver is just beatuiful enough and accessable for pretty much every one to like and still see a little bit underground....

No Age are just ace though

Bon Iver

No Age
Fleet Foxes
Hercules Love Affair

it'll be all about Bon Iver at this rate.

As well as pretty much what everybody's gone for already.
I reckon the likes of NME and Q and probably OMM will rate Vampire Weekend's very highly come the end of the year.

As for the likes of DiS and Pitchfork, No Age all the way at this rate.

I haven't heard the Bon iver record

I take it from this it's well worth hearing

fleet foxes

will defs be up there...

I've been listening to the album

a couple of times today and have really enjoyed it.

Probably no age cos pitchfork rated it

Nick cave should do well, deservedly.
Also, Why? and stuff should be good or something.

do people just think

No Age are gettin props cos of pitchfork? I was well excited about them before I read owt pitchfork had to say on them. Arnt they just ace who ever is rating them?

I know they aint everyones cupa tea but people keep mentioning No Age with pitchfork all the time.

bon iver

frightened rabbit (whence a couple singles come out)
no age

fleet foxes and hammock should be too.

I'd say

at the moment, Nick Cave, Vampire Weekend and Bon Iver all look good bets. Why? too perhaps. No Age will rank high with Pitchfork etc but might be a bit polarising to be on lots of lists.

Elbow might get some places in UK polls. They should do anyway.

Born Ruffians really should be

when it comes out.

I'm looking forward to this

I saw it ages ago it musta been on import and never got a copy and then realised it wasnt even out in the UK yet.
