My vote goes to Chocky, 1980's imaginary friend/ alien sci-fi weirdness.

False or True

Made me vomit with fear once.

baked bean behind her eye

TRUE!

HOW?

I don't know how old you were when this was broadcast

but I was about five, so I can't remember it in an adult way, just that it made me believe I was going to be killed by fuzz and an old man who'd just eaten a live centipede was going to come after me.

I was probably 10-12

I was more concerned than scared.

Then you have no business

posting in this thread.

I've missed you

:P

Thomas The Tank Engine*

*only episodes with disel in

vin diesel?

Grotbag.

What a slag.

Deffo

The intro was freaky, as was the music.
Nothing scarier than a menacing Aussie warble!

The episode with the fingernails

was pretty disturbing.

This^

Almost as bad as the Moomins.

GHOST FOX!

LEMONS!

EYES!

oooh wow!

you were scared of this too! i'm not alone!

Also, Garbage Pale Kids

& Chucky.

goosebumps

are you afraid of the dark

^ these two

1) The singing ringing tree

2) coronation street (enid sharples in a hairnet)
3) dR wHO
4) anything with nuns

I didn't see the

Singing Ringing Tree until I was an adult and it still scared the shit out of me.

Ramona

Haha!

Was it the 80s hair?

It was watching her eat liver in one episode

it made me puke on the couch.

The Animals Of Farthing Wood

The fox was the worst,I had nightmares and everything.

Surely you mean the wolf?

I cried when it finished. And painted a stag in the porch so I'd never forget.

nope, it was the fox

he has a mean face, don't you think?

http://tinyurl.com/5scwn4

No

He was my first hero/homosexual crush.

apart from the scaryness

he was quite fit, yes.

oh god :(

when they all had to cross the road :( :( :(

Any bum-headed aliens

that showed up in the original 'Star Trek' shows. Especially the one in the end credits.

Knightmare

the life meter turning into a skull. The only two things that made me ever hide behind a sofa were that and Stuart Pearce during Euro 96.

QUICKLY TEAM! LIFE FORCE LOW!

"Put the bread in your knapsack."

SPELLCASTING

1 - S -T - C - L - A - S - S - C - H - I - L - D - R - E - N - S - T - V - P - R - O - G - R - A - M - I - N - G

V

I used get serious nightmares about that, never hear anything more about it, did it even exist?

Perhaps I imagined it?

Would been on Sky in the late 80's I'll guess 1989.

Even Rupert Murdock

was watching BSB cause he prefered their dishes to his own.

yeah SKy was around in 88

When the Simpsons started I think.

Anywya I found it bless wiki

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/V_(TV_series)

It did exist.

I think it was on ITV.

...

yeah or Channel 4.

I think its just avante garde enough to have been on C4.

also

did anyone ever watch gamesmaster with the old guy (i really cant remember his name) but he was just this floating head and he had an all encompassing knowledge of every game ever supposedly

Wasn't that

Patrick Moore?

It was, and he could be a horrible dick

if the kids weren't overly polite to him.

Knightmare

With the goblins chasing people down the corridors.
And that 'life-force' thing.

i already said

the life force thing. Pick up the sodding bread will you?

The Boy From Space

Does anybody remember that? It was part of Words & Pictures when i as at primary school in the mid 80's.

Scared the shit out of me!!!

WIZBIT

that fucking cunt

once he was a little bit

little bit
little bit
little bit of magic in his daddys eye.

SkeeLo -I Wish

listen to the above and consider the Wizbit theme tune. COINCIDENCE?!

wow I remember that

it scared me too!

for me I would have to say....

the invaders, the title music and intro powerful stuff! I am guess it is laughable now.. lets see..

http://youtube.com/watch?v=uOLGrXOtuwQ

Fun House

the twins were hot and i was still scared of girls.

T-Bag and the Pearls of Wisdom

terrified me for some reason

The Moomins.

Evil.

noooooooooo

super cool, and being remade for japanese tv as we speak! :D

the episode

with the glowy things on that island was GENUINELY SHIT SCARY. You know, the things that looked like Mr Burns in the X Files Simpsons ep.

I remember this

and I think it was the last one I ever watched.

There is a girl in one of my seminar groups who looks like a Moomin. I resent her for it.

Sea Gull Shit

Everywhere

God, The Boy From Space

was even scarier than i remembered

http://youtube.com/watch?v=-4F7y__Viws&feature=related

No wonder i wet the bed till i was 26!!!

Oh man, chocky scared the shit out of me.

Also, the episode of Black Beauty when that Ghoulish figure was on there.

And Children of the Dog Star.

Fuck yeah!

Forgot about that one. That produced bum-gravy that one.

worzel gummidge

the demon headmaster, are you afraid of the dark?

This thread has made me choke laughing

The programme that made me well scared was Dark Season. It was just so creepy.

Century Falls freaked me out a bit.

And I echo the Knightmare sentiments 100%.

Zzzap!

That show *really* freaked me out. Thinking about it makes me want to do a little sick...

the air raid siren at the end of Dads Army

scared me shitless. any type of siren still does. except chemical brothers songs.

doctor who

used to scare me. im sure there were some disturbing eps of Round The Twist aswell

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

I had to stop watching it cause it gave me nightmares :(

this is gonna sound odd.

but 'Round the Twist' used to scare me when i was 5 or so. SCARY GHOSTS AND STUFF.

The Episode of Eerie, Indiana

when you hear the hurricane calling Marshall's name over the storm-o-tron or whatever it was. I bought it on DVD the other week and its still genuinely disturbing now i'm 21.

Not a TV show....

but did anybody here read a book called 'Tailypo' as I child? I think it's the only thing I've ever read to make me have nightmares.
