is apparently 'tropes'. Ever notice that when a new angle/adjective gets hit up by them you start seeing it everywhere....?

Ah thanks

I'd thought it might be something like that, but I thought I'd better check, wouldn't want to use it wrong and humiliate myself... :P

tropes is more tendencies

tropism = tendency to behave in a certain way

heliotropic plants = always turn leaves to face the sun

heliophototropic = always turn to face the Sun photographer

heliophotosluttotropic always flash minge at Sun photographer

really?

im running out of tumbleweed!

you can get more tumbleweed...

...when you're a real cowboy

wanky post alert...

but the geek in me can't resist...

trope is a really complicated notion, when used in conjunction with an artistic assesment it generally means something more along the lines of:

a re-occuring symbol or varient that although consistent with the philosophical import of the piece is not simply a reinforcement of said import. Rather, it is also an intrinsic part of the ontology, thus meaning each element, weltanschunng and trope are ultimately inextricable and mutually reliant.

or something similar...

long day, i'll leave...

...

Marry me.

We can discuss ontology in indie music all day long.

ok, why not...

better than talking to myself.
