Roar.
I fancy getting one of these as we've given up with bass players.
Does anyone have any experiences of using a baritone, or where to start with one?

I know nothing at all about them

apart from the fact that I want one. Got to be good for earth style droning surely?

Exactly!

I'm going to wander around at lunch and see if anywhere's got one, but knowing the guitar shops in town they'll probably just have comedy guitars endorsed by blink 182 or something.

id get a jaguar baritone

because normal jaguars look amazing but have the rubbish small neck which a baritone obviously wouldn't, nmo idea how they sound though

i got a jaguar baritone

don't think they make them or the strings anymore. But if you can get hold of one their the best guitars you'll ever buy!!!

listen to that fucking tank

they pride themselves on the use of a baritone :)

Yes!

That was the sound I was thinking of!

May ebay it

see if I can pick up a cheap baritone somehow. Most of my stuff's bastardised to fuck anyway.

i want a baritone.

boo. massive ass strings on the burns, just doesn't quite cut it.

I have one

I use a Jaguar Baritone on beefy songs with Super Chunky strings (for tuning to D) which do the trick. Murder live though

Jaguar Baritone?

Is this different from the Fender Bass VI?

I'm pretty sure one of the shops in Glasgow used to have Epiphone Les Paul baritones, but I never tried one.

Fender makes a great Baritones

Glenn Branca: "Fuck Yourself" , Symphony No. 3, 2nd Movement.

but, baritone is no way a substitute for bass.

I've heard the Fender Bass VI is a fucker for intonation.

Danelectro do a Baritone guitar and I'd be tempted to look at that, even though I don't like their design really.

I've never played one but..

..there was a Burns Barracuda barritone on ebay the other day probably for about £200.

the guy in Pull Tiger Tail

uses a Baritone instead of a bass doesn't he?

I've wanted

one for ages.
Have had my eye on the burns on ebay for a while.
Will give you that deep 60's shadows sound.

Don't buy the Squier Sub-sonic

I had one, and it was balls.
