I've just got into them recently. How bloody great were they?

yes

they were rather good!

they were one of those bands that everyone raved on about

but passed me by. I did try but it just never clicked for me and them.

^ i've actually had a little listen again

and an going to have to my revise my opinion on them

cool

took me a few listens too actually. it just gets better each time though

FUCKING AWESOME!

THere's some good vids of em on youtube too.

Modarres?

How are you man?

why are you pretending

that I didn't see you yesterday?

I miss you

<3

listen to the jesus lizard plz

Downloaded 'Goat' the other night on Jesse Lacey's recommendation.

fucking phenomenal.
I heard Liar is better though?

they're the two I have

are the others worth getting?

I also have 'Shot'

it is almost as good. Even for a Major Label Debut (tm). Also check out the songs 'Blockbuster' and 'Chrome' (a cover of two class Chrome songs).

Also if you love the Jesus Lizard but want David Yow replaced by the spirit of jazz then Duane Denison's other band DK3 are FOR YOU

After spending the last half hour dancing around the kitchen

whilst playing Jesus Lizard stuff, I'd say 'Head' is also worth having.

i listened to them on Jesse Lacey's recommendation too

i'd do anything for that man <3

extremely bloody great

that's how great. fucking amazingly bloody great

Super band.

My favourite exponent of angular and abstract noise. Along with Shellac and Today is the Day, of course.

bLUE

BLUE

Great band

Also check out...

Arab on Radar and Dazzling Killmen for more noisy clever/stupiness.

amazing band

anyone that likes these should go watch Pissed Jeans on tour at the moment.

Liar, Goat, Head and Down are all great

the live DVD is worth a watch too, if just for the Yow interview at the end:

"what do i have in common with a shetland pony?

we're both a little hoarse."

=D

guiltLOL

Cant believe

i ignored them for all of these years! they're awesome!

too good

every single album is ace

Agreed

Buy them all, including the compilation album Bang! Liar is possibly my favourite if I had to pick one.
The live DVD shows what an amazing live act they were, I'll never forget seeing them at Reading festival and seeing David Yow stagediving into the crowd and spending about ten minutes crowdsurfing! His sign off as he left the stage; "We're going off to do more drugs than any of you would believe!"

Legends!

ive only heard GOAT

but its an immense album!

have you heard

david yow's other band Qui as well?

It's COMPULSORY

to check out Sims and Yow's previous band Scratch Acid as well.
