I'm sure this will make me unpopular, and I'm sure it has been said many times before, but I just watched the video for Two Doors Down and I actually feel a bit sick.

What is going on? I absolutely adored Making Dens. I haven't heard the album, so I can't really say, but I'm not sure I like the 80s cheese vibe. Please tell me there are some more folky moments or I might do a cry.

I actually really like that track

Yes, it has an '80's pop sound, but is still distinctly Mystery Jets.

i see what you're saying

it is a good pop song, I wish I could write ones like it,

BUT it's more the video that annoys me. Why do they have to do the gimmick. I always thought they could be a band that could survive without any gimmicks.

And the fucking saxophone? Don't get me wrong, I like a good sax solo as much as the next man.

But a GOOD one.

YES

aah
this song it makes me feel all dreamy
but dance too
cant wait for summer it should be played at parties, before everyone is complete;y frunk

I agree, consider yourself unpopular

I think its a frickin great song. That and Young Love are great pop tunes. I don't think there have been many better pop tunes released this year.

Behind the Bunhouse

will put your mind at rest.

I do love the album as a whole though.

<3

I loveeeee that song, its one my favourites off the album

The album is very very good been listening to it lots recently but..

I'm not sure it has longevity. I doubt I will be listening to it in 6 months time. It does sound very different from Making Dens.
2 Doors Down is the track most influenced by 80s sounds. An excellent pop song in my humble opinion.

young love

was ok, but I also don't like Laura Marling that much.

I am not trying to win your hatred, but i'm sorry, it's the truth.

If I had money I would buy the album.

The whole album

has no song like Two Doors down except from the actual song.

I agree

2 Doors Down is a bit of a anomaly slap bang in the middle of the album. Hideaway is my favourite track at the mo.

Affirmative.

It's a brilliant album, 'Hideaway' is my favourite too. And 'Flakes'... aahhh it's beautiful and reminds me of Suede.

fair enough

I shall endeavour to hear the album

this!

hooray. More Nat's with good taste

Hideaway and Flakes are my two favourites

i agree with kathryn

very summery album, so nice sitting in the sun on my windowsil with a beer and cigarette listening to it.
cant beat it

i finally got around to relistening to the new album this morning

it's great. Two Doors Down is like a John Hughes movie transformed into a film.

SPOT THE TYPO

The song and video are good but...

the lead singer guy is creepy as hell!

why?

coz he is disabled? shame on you.

Wo, wo, wo sweet child o' mine, back up...

I didn't know he was disabled at all.

It's because he looks like Edward Scissor Hands with that weird black hair. He gives me the willies.

i was only joking

i like his hair. he looks sort of like robert smith

i've not got Making Dens so I can't compare it

but I love two doors down, young love and the rest of the album. The video is just a bit of fun - I like the air grabs and the rubbish co-ordination on the "two doors down" hand movements.

That's the only one on the album that's really 80s, though there are influences on the rest of it.

making dens is

a lot more like "half in love with Elisabeth" kind of themed (well from what i've heard of 21 that's the best example)

I saw them live

last friday and they were very good
